Where does salmon doing the mating dance and politics fit in?

Male salmon: "Ababrurrburururrrrrr" (You like that, baby? Politicians should protect us.)

Female salmon: "Ablblblururublrlblbr (Yeah, yeah....they should love us like you are.)

Typical farking libby poltab clickbait to feed the Kentucky squirrel, eh Drew? Some Ivy league  Enviro-Nazis with an agenda- and a bunch of taxpayer grant money riding on it- want all of us to change the way we fark and live our lives just to save the ecology of a goddam streambed that was eroding anyway. Well, other than these eggheaded opportunists, the geological science community is FAR from agreement on salmon-made stream degradation. So all of you leftist groundwalking progs need to do a little research and educate yourself. That or STFU and get back to watching those stir-crazy cichlids you keep in a 20 gallon tank in your parents' basement.

Salmon are bright orange. Trump is bright orange. The fish must be moving the mountains to the right.

Also, the world's top Atlantic salmon populations hail from Russia. It's all there, people. Study it out.

It's my own basement damnit, in a house I've bought and paid for, and it's 90 gallons. And they're all Malawi cichlids thank you very much.

I would wager that many Trump supporters would accept this finding, but somehow feel that humanity has had no effect on th environment.

WDFark think for a second: Was this supposed to be in the geek tab?

There ain't nothing more political than salmon if you live in the PNW or AK.   Its a water issue, a tribal issue, and a resource management issue all rolled up into one.  The water part gets the power companies and farmers involved.  The resource issue pits the fishermen and greenies against the timber and mining interests and of course the tribes were promised a bounty of unlimited salmon they could farm in perpetuity.  There are harvest quotas to be set every year.  And the damn sea lions have learned how to hang out at the base of the fish ladders and feast during the salmon runs - and that gets the courts involved with MMPA issues.

Salmon are politics around these parts.

Couldn't agree more. I'm in the NE but there was once a vibrant salmon run here too, but now the salmon can't take hold despite 30 yrs of millions of salmon fry being introduced up and down the watershed. They abandoned the program under Bush
Now that's sad

I want that 5 minutes of my life back.

Montgomery believes any such effect would be minimal in comparison to that caused by uplift but adds that Fremier and his colleagues have "opened the door to asking the question" about the phenomenon and all its cascading consequences.

And I'll be billing my standard rate.
