Not sure how the U.S. Army is going to help with Internet access.  Half the times I deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, U.S. Military Internet access was shiate.

The revolution will neither be televised nor on social media.

That's a damn shame.

Demonstrations continued for a fifth day. Some 13 people were reported killed on Sunday in the worst wave of unrest since crowds took to the streets in 2009 to condemn the re-election of then-president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Yeah, because the Arab Spring worked out so well. What will be the Persian version of Benghazi?

I've marched here in the States for years. Been in all kinds of events, from some large dust-ups about our Middle East invasion, to small protests for voting rights. I've been maced, gassed, attacked, but rarely was I ever thinking "I might get shot dead right now". The reality for these people in Iran, Libya, Turkey, Palestine...well, they don't have that luxury. It's a very real threat that their actions will result in their death, and potentially their loved ones. Still, they show up, sound out, and stand for their beliefs. I will always respect that.

Iranians protesting, GOP says it's good.
Americans protesting, GOP says they are looters and criminals.

I love Iranians. I've had a number of Iranian friends, granted a few were Jewish Iranians, but I got on well with the Muslims, too!

No good side on this. Just the disenfranchised wanting a better cut of the pie. There won't be any meaningful reform or move to a more moderate expression of Islam here. Best we get out of this is that in the meantime Iran will be distracted with issues at home, potentially hurting support for Hezbollah and other extremist groups

In Trump's mind he's probably thinking he can use the money he's cutting from Pakistan to destabilize Iran. Great! 2 more destabilized countries in the region and one WITH nukes.
