You have never met LeChuck (right):

He can be a bit hyperactive but he is always friendly.

My parents used to have a black long-haired cat named Ophelia. While she was extremely needy at times, she was never aggressive around humans (I once accidentally rolled my computer chair over her tail; after her initial yowl she went right to nuzzling and purring as soon as I consoled her).

Guybrush (above picture, on the left) is usually quiet and polite but he will let you know if he is in an off mood.

The coloration and temperament thing doesn't hold out in my household.  Lots of people remark about how my tortoiseshell cats must be a handful or stubborn and temperamental but I've never seen it in either of them.

The younger one is a bit hyperactive but she's only 2 years old so it has more to do with youth than anything. They have distinct personalities but they are both relaxed and friendly.  The older one loves everyone she ever meets and loves to cuddle. The younger one doesn't trust strangers but loves cuddles with me and my wife and they are great companions to each other. The older loves to be picked up and will purr and lick your nose then melt into your shoulder and purr for as long as you hold her, the younger one whines until you put her down. Neither of them has ever been aggressive towards us even when getting their nails trimmed or a bath.  They don't like either and complain loudly about it and try to escape if you given them an opening but neither ever tries to scratch or bite.

They usually sleep together and clean each other and even when they fight they aren't mean about it. If one of them crosses a line the other hisses at her and they sulk for about 5 minutes before curling up in a pile and cleaning each other.

My friend has a new pair of ginger tabby brothers this year.  They will be a year old on the 18th.  Previously he had seriously mellow Birmans.  He asked me what I thought about the Christmas Tree this year.

I sent him this and pointed out how many were ginger tabbies.  (I know...its not a breed)

I lost my beloved Harold in the dryer. The dryer door had been left open. Daughter threw a load of towels in and we went swimming. Still haunts me. What a terrible way to go. Some smartass told me the dryer shoulda been set on deli-cat.

One of my torties was named "Killer" by her birth family. She liked to wrestle and would latch onto your arm with a death-grip and gnaw on your hand.

Her granddaughter, also a tortie, perpetrated a rodent holocaust after we moved into a new neighborhood and lined dozens of little bodies up in neat rows on the porch for inspection. She was also abnormally smart and would listen to voice commands like a dog.

Had another calico from a different lineage who was also unusually smart and displayed dog-like loyalty. She would escort me to the bus stop every morning and wait for me in the afternoon.

Her kittens were all tuxedo cats, and they were complete dumbshiats--but very chill dumbshiats. One of them was best friends with the dog and would sleep on top of him.

Im fostering two for a few days. Semi- feral with 3 kittens. Obviously had a home before. Caught and fixed same day, momma is a brown and black and white calico. Kitten is about 3 months and has socialized remarkably well in 4 days after 3 months wild, albeit with some human contact.
My two cats are warming to them. They like the kitten but mom isnt having any of my cats or the kitten.

Wouldnt it be cool to have different colors of hair in designs that would look sexy?

Woot! Cat pix!

All three of our cats are rescues- one from the shelter and two from the ass-hats across the street.

Meet Grommit.
img.fark.netView Full Size

He was super skinny when the Shiatstain family across the street threw him out for reasons and such as. We couldn't stand watching him jump up onto their front porch and cry at the windows, so we adopted him. Got him his shots and such, and gave him gushy foods and plenty of toys and warm places to sleep.

This one's his favorite sleeping spot- My Beloved Wenchiepoo's hip.
img.fark.netView Full Size

He's gained weight, the open wound on his right hip healed up without a trace, and he's decided he has to escort me everywhere around the house and guard me against evil dust bunnies, or something.

Should you ever decide the clothes haven't fully dried, check to make sure Georgia isn't in there before you restart the dryer.

This is Ruby. She is the sweetest, most well-mannered and even-tempered cat I have ever known. She loves everybody.
img.fark.netView Full Size

The Shiatstain family adopted her from a shelter, then got tired of her and threw her out on the street. She used to come up to me in the wee hours of the morning as I was heading to my car to go to work and she'd politely ask for some petting and adoration. Since the Shiatstains couldn't be bothered to take care of such a sweetie, we took her in, updated her shots, and got her chip registered to us.
