I always used to wonder by the old Soviets and the weirdo right wingers in the US were the only ones who
seemed to weaponize ricin.  At least, until the recent political cycle when I realized that the two groups were,
in fact, in collusion with each other.

True that.
My workplace has an internal documentation and forum application. Some threads devolve quickly into politics; usually when it comes to HR announcements or harebrained ideas. It is entertaining to see what people will post even though their management chain and everyone else in the company will see it.

My two favorites were the guy who lost his shiat that MLK Day was a fixed holiday but some other days were floating and another one where people come complained about Junior job titles.

Out of curiosity, did the job title forum go political, and if so, how?

It was a post suggesting that the company remove Junior from job titles and do something like Software Engineer I. It devolved into a pissing match about generation politics, entitlement, and snowflakes.

What got the heat flowing was the Paid Time Off and Health Benefit changes. That went full on Fark Politics tab.

The no photography rule in courtrooms seems bizarrely anachronistic in this day and age. A few clicks of a shutter has to be less distracting to the court proceedings than a guy in the corner sketching for an hour or two...

Even today, the sketch artist is less obtrusive than using a camera and some judges don't want cameras in the courtroom because of how participants end up playing to the camera.

Why didn't she just look on the internet?

It's a bit more Maurice Sendak/Young Adult Fiction illo than the usual stuff, but yeah. Pretty innocuous.
