This is going to be an opt-in feature, so if you hate the idea of more complexity in your app toolbars this won't screw up your life.

I'm on build 17046 and haven't seen this yet. The only version of Windows 10 close to being a browser is Windows 10S(only on Surface Laptops but you can just go full Windows pro for free). Windows 10 on ARM(soon to be released) runs emulated x86 programs

I can't remember the last time my computer crashed and I use my computer all the time.

Windows 10 is pretty damn stable. Most of the people who bash it are just haters who can never really explain what's wrong with it.

JasonOfOrillia: I know people with Windows phones.  I've heard good things about them.

It's because the OS is incredibly grown-up in feel in comparison to iOS or iAndroid, the homescreen is 100% customizable, and it's stable.

I really do feel that given to almost any other company on the planet to market, it'd have had a 20% marketshare within it's first couple of years.

The Store is a f*cking comedy of errors, not to mention barren of useful 'standard'apps like 'Wickr'.

/still no cure for snapcat. (the closest hit to snapchat on The Store)

I actually like the idea of that.

I am often working on several projects at a time and keeping sets of SSH sessions together along with documents, webpages  etc related to that project seems like a really good idea.

Its superiour to Android, and iOS (obviously).

But since I think its fun to install random apps, I had to let it go. :(

Microsoft ought to re-enable Android compatability (it can run Android apps actually, but Microsoft decided to disable it. Beta versions of Windows 10 were 100% compatible, Google Play Store and all).

I understand why they disabled it then, because they were still "fighting", now, why not just enable it. A relic of that, is that Windows PCs are Linux compatible, but only in text mode. So they used that functionality for something.

Thx, I did not know that.

Still a pity Microsoft are so stubborn about Windows Phone. Why not just give that to the few people who stuck with the platform? instead, they're kinda just giving a sour taste in the mouth.

Define shiat? The OS is superiour, the phones were awesome and cheap.

The day Apple or Google could out-develop Nokia for hardware never came.

We, well perhaps you, know what the problem was.

Google Play Store?

Doesn't matter, I sold my Lumia 930 to a dude who wanted to Surf, Take Pictures and Listen to Music. And nothing more.

Which it does, so well.

Me too, just got a replacement under warranty on my 950 a couple weeks ago. It had bent in my pocket when I had a hard stop in my car and the seatbelt pulled it hard. Was cool they replaced it, warranty expired about two weeks from now. Hopefully it lasts for a while!

Just an awesome phone. The camera on these things are incredible. And the ability to shoot 4K video as well.

Microsoft finally got it right, then stupid Nadella killed the phone division. What a marooon.

I also got my kid a Windows phone.. Less worried about her losing a phone that cost about $100 which is what I paid for a Lumia 550 with windows 10. I wanted 10 because it has nice stalkerparental controls.  I get weekly emails telling me what shes been searching and doing. I can prevent app purchases or give her an allowance similar to adding points to a Nintendo 3ds. It uses a hotmail account for email and address book and hers is tied as a minor to mine.  I can see her contacts and who shes been emailing if i want and I have automatic access to her find my phone.

Also Windows Phone is more secure than Android for the most part and far cheaper than iPhone.

I had a Lumina for about half a decade, till the microphone stopped working. Not being able to talk on a phone kinda sucks. Was a great phone.

"Can be replicated" is a vast distance from "is", and even further from "easy to find and use". Just because something can be done in the OS or through add-ons does not mean it's ready for grandma.

Not in the case of Windows 10. It's so messed up it's hard to describe without a WOT rant. For a start there are two settings applications that compete with one another. I'll give one example of hundreds. If you configure File History in the control panel it works. But if you go into the Settings app and look at some settings your original configuration is farked. Now multiply that kind of dumbfarkery by hundreds.
