I thought that hipsters drank PBR and rednecks drink Budweiser.

I don't drink Merlot.

That's fantastic!  As long as it's 5983 BC and not 5982 or 5984 BC, which were both horrible vintages.

Okay I understand them ribbing on Florida by calling them Turkey, but when did Russia take over the Carolinas?

Wow. It's almost like there's a gene urging us to have a drink.

And that Jesus lived in a cheap motel on the edge of Route 66, yeah.  He lived a dark and twisted life and he came right back just to do it again.

I have been assured by Ken Ham that the world is only 6,000 years old; so this is obviously a lie.

I'm no Mathlete but the previous oldest know was 5,000 years and the newest oldest known is 8,000 years but the article says our knowledge is pushed back 1,000 years. Was this math done by a Republican economist trying to explain trickle down?

So after fixing the punctuation, 8000 year-old wine bottles.

The Georgians already boasted about being the "inventors of wine". The ones I know are pretty stoked now that there is archeological proof. It is pretty cool that they still do it the old way: fermented in huge clay jars in the ground. Georgian wine is a unique thing; different than western wine. A little rougher around the edges, but enjoyable enough. It is sneaky strong though. A long night of Georgian wine and food is a pretty killer hangover the next day.

And I'm sure we were eating "mind altering" fermented berries off the ground long before that like every other animal.

But did you know that wine is a social lubricant? Seriously, this is critical knowledge that I can't believe no media outlet has ever reported on before!

The previous oldest actually read as from 5,000 BC in the article (7,000 years ago), so the discovery of 8,000 year-old wine would push our knowledge back 1,000 years.  So you were wrong about that.  You were pretty good though, in your assessment of your Mathleticism.
