His wife is claiming they're going to.

But I'm betting it carries the same weight as Trump's threats to sue.

I really hope Strange pursues a write-in campaign.  The chances for Democrats to take that seat just got a lot better, but splitting the conservative vote would lock it in.

Yeah, we kind of expected that.  Not taking no for an answer is kind of your schtick.

Something tells me that the couples knowledge of civil torts is roughly matched by Roy's knowledge of Constitutional law.  It's likely not even occurred to her that Roy would have to give a deposition or testify.

Of course, it's also a guarantee that they haven't spoken to an attorney yet and she's just talking out of her ass.

"Can't you tell me?" he took her hand, oddly gentle. "It's more than old Frank leaving you? Do you need money?"
"Money? God, no! Oh, Rhett, I'm so afraid."
"Don't be a goose, Scarlett, you've never been afraid in your life."
"Oh, Rhett, I am afraid!"
The words bubbled up faster than she could speak them. She could tell him. She could tell Rhett anything. He'd been so bad himself that he wouldn't sit in judgment on her. How wonderful to know someone who was bad and dishonorable and a cheat and a liar, when all the world was filled with people who would not lie to save their souls and who would rather starve than do a dishonorable deed!
"I'm afraid I'll die and go to hell."
If he laughed at her she would die, right then. But he did not laugh.
"You are pretty healthy - and maybe there isn't any hell after all."
"Oh, but there is, Rhett! You know there is!"
"I know there is but it's right here on earth. Not after we die. There's nothing after we die, Scarlett. You are having your hell now."

If Roy Moore were a character on an SVU episode, the writers would be criticized for creating such a ridiculously over the top evil character.

I think it's for the benefit of the base. Them media are liars, and they're getting sued for lying!  Roy was a judge, he knows they're guilty! They just hate Republicans!

That would imply reporting what other AL GOPers are saying in response. Which is in a way almost more disgusting: From the other thread, they're not even denying it, they're tacitly saying they're OK with it.

Watching the AL GOP get torpedoed below the armor belt because it turns out they're all guilty of covering up for rapists, and this comes out a month before the election, would be oh so karmic. What goes around comes around, and it's starting to look like the GOP has gone so far around they're coming around from the other side of the sun.

The fact that most Republicans, including Fox and Brietbart, are already going straight to "this wasn't a crime" and "he was being romantic" rather than accuse the women of being liars leads me to believe that word on the Republican street is that this is true and more shiat is coming.

So he's going to take on Bezos' lawyers and claim the story with 30 different sources on record meets the bar for slander and libel?   Yeah, I'm going to call bull farking shiat on that.   That suit would get laughed out of The People's Court.

Are you kidding?  The thought that Roy Moore molested a 12 year old child is enough to give any Alabaman a raging hard-on for days.  If he was related to said child, that would be extended to weeks.  People from Alabama are like that.  Nothing gets them more excited than statutory rape or a lynching.  They are true Trump supporters.

Yep, that's why his supporters are going hard after the victims in the story.  They know there are others out there.   What pedo with a hard on for 14 year olds stops at just one?    They want to intimidate all the untold others out there from speaking out.

Even Alabama should be ashamed on an epic scale by this colossal creep and asshole who belongs in jail...

...even Alabama.
