Great plan! Drag the entire GOP down to the ocean floor with the S.S. Trump.

Better plan:

They need to get it done for the donors or else they will have no money to siphon out of their campaigns for hookers and beer when they lose in 2018.

"There's two people I think Putin pays: Rohrabacher and Trump," McCarthy said, according to Entous, a superb reporter who heard a tape recording of the colloquy. "Swear to God."

In the Post piece, McCarthy's remark is met with laughter, and Ryan cautions his colleagues, "This is an off the record . . . No leaks! . . . All right?"

And then, amid more laughter, Ryan says, "This is how we know we're a real family here."
"That's how you know that we're tight," Steve Scalise, the House Majority Whip, says.

"What's said in the family stays in the family," Ryan concludes.

You stick with your co-conspirators to the bitter end.   I can't wait to see all these traitorous assholes facing prison time.

Well, they ain't gettin' it done.
Can we pass those donors around?
You know, Puff and Pass.

Actually now that I think about it.  Dems often use "The rising tide lifts all boats" as their economic slogan.  With the GOP it really could be "We'll all go down together".

You don't change horses in midstream. Even if the horse you're on is rabid and running headlong towards a waterfall, and there's another horse that's actually a motorboat filled with Coast Guard who have thrown you a life preserver.

You just don't change horses in midstream.

Of course it is.  You know how virtually everything that ever comes from the GOP's mouth is projection? How much does e-mail get brought up?

And, of course, once theirs are dumped out showing massive illegalities, they'll point to the Clinton/Podesta emails, which contain no illegal things, and claim BSAB and "so NOW Libs care about emails, hypocrites!"

I believe this statement only to the extent that some part, any part, of Trump's agenda gets passed.  But if he gets more toxic and / or is indicted, don't kid yourself.  They will run away from Trump as fast as they can.

Congresscritters really only understand one thing;  Preservation of their species.

Sadly, the Senate is close to out of reach, because of the 6 year cycle. It'd take something extra nutty. I'd love it, but 2018 is a very difficult Senate year for the DNC.  The House is very, very much likely to flip I think, especially if we keep going and work to GotV.

Well the "smartest" guy in an Ayn Rand book literally ruins his business because no one was sucking his dick hard enough.

Purple_Urkle: Paul Ryan wants to be President Ryan.

He does, but I think he knows he can't.  The GOP is complicit, and the evidence will show it.  And as one of the major heads of the GOP, he'll go down with them if anyone goes down. Ryan moves on Trump, Trump drags them all down, lashed or no. Trump is a vindictive prick, and he knows the ties. He created them, his lawyer was a finance chair for the GOP, he weaved his tentacles into them to keep them shielding him.

Remember, you don't leave Trump - Trump leaves you. Remember his "Ed Gillespie who?" tweets after the election? Or his "barely met him, hardly knew him, didn't have a big role during the campaign" assertions regarding his advisors and campaign manager?

Trump's like every other abusive partner: he decides when the partnership is over. Until then, that partnership exists only to feed his ego and for no other reason. And if Ryan shows up to work one day with a black eye, well, he ran into a doorknob.

Who needs the emails when he's probably got recipts for all the dirty rubles that got laundered into RNC coffers.

I shall be falling over with gouts of laughter if that comes to light. I'll be amused as hell, but not surprised, throwing dirty money at the party they want to win is like their second oldest trick.

('accidents' and 'suicides' are their oldest tricks. Enjoy Teatime with Vlad at the Summit, Donnie! )

Someone posted the conversation above in which Ryan appeared to be conspiring about Russia connections among the GOP.  That's his opponent's election commercial.
