Good Morning, Mr. Sunshine.

So, on this theme though, what other "group of works" by a band do you think could be made into a musical....

I always thought you could probably cobble together a storyline around R.E.M. song lyrics pretty well... however you do the songs during the show, end it with the finale of "It's the End of the World"

Yes, but they'll only perform it on Saturday nights.

Hall n Oats weirdly came to mind.

I just want to see 80s hair and epic mustache.

I could see that... I think it would probably come out a bit "cheesier" than like what an R.E.M. or U2 lyric inspired musical would be... would feel kind of like "Rock of Ages".

Suck it, ABBA.

The Bee Gees rule!

/  I like both, but if there's anything this place needs, it's a 70s pop bad beef.

The Cure's Trilogy: Pornography, Disintegration and Bloodflowers. But I get the feeling it would essentially be a musical version of Requiem for a Dream.

It'll be like Mama Mia.
But with beards and blow.

Simon and Garfunkel  The story of a down and out Boxer trying to survive in New York

The Boxer, , I am a Rock, Cecelia, Only living boy in New York, 59th Street Bridge  would frame a decent narrative of some young country fighter starting out in NYC

The boxer (reprise) The Sound of Silence, Homeward bound...  his death in the ring.

Rolling Stones - they have enough of a discography to handle a full show

That could work ... but that particular NYC is a grimier version that probably doesn't really exist anymore

Let's hope it's not a "Sgt. Pepper" remake.  (BTW - did anyone notice that the town of Heartland looks
like Disneyland's Main Street USA?)
