Everyone has figured out how to deal with Trump.

Give him a big parade, lay on the flattery good and thick, and ignore everything he says.

Is anyone actually paying attention to the manner and the way he has been talking on this trip? He's losing it.

He just can't help cosying up to authoritarian leaders.

Trump tried to cajole Xi on Pyongyang

Man, everybody tries to cajole Xi on Pyongyang.  Stop Pyongyang-cajoling Xi, everybody! Xi is not falling for your cajolery.

You mean to tell me that Trump talks his tail and cowers and all his tough talk is just an act when he actually meets a world leader who  knows it's all an act?

I'm sure his supporters will say that this is all to get China into a false sense of security though, and was actually a genius move

Trump is the guy the at shows up at the renn fair with a bud k fantasy knife, wearing khakis, and doesn't want to peace tie it because he's an "expert" with blades.
Then meets at beer wenches while bragging that he could "totally take that knight"

Sadly, he ignores the vendors.

I'm going to say something controversial.

I think this is one time things generally went well.

That's all. It's not hope, it's nothing much really. Still hate the guy for everything else.

I was just thinking, he should have pulled out his driver's license and started laughing. When she asks what's up, he just says "I don't look like my DL picture, nobody does in theirs. It's like magic!" and wait for her to pull out her DL.

Not at all. Tough Guy Tell It Like It Is Trump talks to his supporters like they are powerless uneducated idiotic rubes when he's home. He's (or his handlers) at least smart enough to understand most world leaders are none of those things. So basically, when he's face to face with them, he is nicer, softer spoken, and a bit more circumspect out of fear. He's a true coward through and through.

/he also likely knows when he's outclassed

That plus cowardice. Remember, Trump doesn't fire people. He sends his body man to do it for him. And I heard rumors that in addition to not even choosing whom to fire on The Apprentice, that he filmed his side of the exchange with an empty table.

#45 has financial interests in China.  Earlier in the year they withheld some trademarks until Trump agreed with the One China policy.  You see?  The founding fathers were wrong.  There are no consequences to combining petty personal business and acting in the best interests of the people.  No doubt Trumpistan will see this wisdom, nod their heads at how great China is and re-elect #45 in 2020.

Exactly. He's so stupid and narcissistic that he must think he's been accorded high honor and respect when he's just being played.

China won't stop short of proclaiming him high exalted emperor of land, sea and sky and any other meaningless BS they can think of. Wouldn't be surprised if they've been working on it for weeks with the assistance of clinical psychologists. Anything that makes him compliant and amenable for whatever "deals" are on the table.

As soon as he gets whatever concessions he wants, trump will then get down to the business of looking out for America's interests. It's imperative that he get another hotel, brand enforcement, future real estate options or something. Only after he has tested the waters in this type of negotiation will he work to get another trump tie factory in China which will make America great again.

Speaking in Beijing, he gave China "credit" for working to benefit its citizens by taking advantage of the US.

It's the "taking advantage of the US"that is a fact whether one agrees or disagrees with the whole statement.

You mean, all those other times Trump was being a disingenuous, lying asshole shooting off his mouth for attention?  Fetch my fainting couch.

Coward doesn't have the balls to repeat what he said to their faces.  Or the memory.

The fact that the US is being taken advantage of remains. As for China's labor laws, they maximize the export of its biggest commodity - labor. Those who control labor in China benefit most.

Yet when Obama showed any reverence AT ALL for another foreign leader, the cons were falling all over themselves calling him an appeaser, and that giving any compliment at all, was selling out the USA.   How soon it is we've forgotten "The Bow" ?

Key points being Rex can't shiat without Donnie's express sayso. So as not to upstage His Orangeness. And that it is His Lardness himself who has to do everything. As he's the only one who matters. Apparently.
