Good thing the wife-beating ******* buried all of that chunky looking costume jewelry out in the desert against just such an eventuality.

At least at the time, Depp and his sister, personal manager, and the president of his production company, (Elisa Christi) Dembrowski

Oh yeah, you should definitely hire family members for those sorts of positions. They're totally qualified, and it definitely won't end up costing you millions of dollars. And they definitely won't rob you blind, because they're family, right?

I'm starting to think this  Johnny Depp fellow just isn't very smart.

This really makes no sense whatsoever. I'm not a fan at all but one simply has to turn on the tv for a few minutes to find a worse actor.

I read he made $90 million for this last Pirates movie (which was pretty good actually).  It must take serious effort to blow through that kind of cash.

Here's the thing. For people like this credit scores and all that do not matter.  My wife used to work at a commercial bank here in Tulsa and they regularly gave huge loans to people with sub 600 credit scores because they had some money in the bank.

Worrying about foreclosures and credit scores are for the little people.

The guy's made over 80 movies and is one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood. You don't get there being a bad actor. You may not like him or the movies he's in, and that's well within your right, but to say he's the worse actor you've ever seen is just ignorant.

knowing that Depp has appeared live i think 1-2 times at the "Pirates of the Caribbean' ride at Disneyland, we were there about a month ago, and the 3-4 animatronic robots or whatever, of him, were just astounding.  it may have been an actual person for all we know.  we did the ride like 2-3 times, and we'd be like, "uh....was that a robot or a person?"  it was pretty cool.

He is definitely popular. However, popularity does not equate to being a good actor. I agree with VKF.

Exactly. I think some folks would be surprised to learn that 'how much cash you have' is not a party of your credit score. You could literally have millions of dollars in the bank and a bad credit score. It like me, superb credit score but not much money.

To be fair, I'll give vudukungfu the benefit of the doubt, because for all I know, maybe the only movies that vudukungfu has ever seen are The Shawshank Redemption and Dark Shadows.

Part of me thinks I'd be able to handle the immense wealth that's come his way over the years. But who I am to say I'm better than anyone else? I'd probably have a mansion in SE Asia, and blow all my money on Thai hookers.

Taxes take a big chunk of that.

If one has expensive tastes it really doesn't take that much effort.  I think expenses just scale up alongside the scales up paycheck.  And if you're an over spender at a lower pay you're likely going to be an over spender at a higher pay.  Happened to us and that was annoying.

I used to think he was the hottest guy on earth. Then he just got weird. He never recovered after he left the French woman.

I think he would have been happier if he didn't get so famous, and stayed known for doing films like Edward Scissorhands, and Ed Wood. And What's Eating Gilbert Grape
, wasn't he in that too?

Leo has handled being a star a lot better, but he's kind of weird too.

TrimBandit: Lol I'm sure you say the same thing about all the weinstein accusers

She's a raging nutcase. Now I'm not saying that she smacked herself in the face, but none of Depp's previous women ever accused him of DV. The fury with which she left the short marriage (and made some contradicting statements about the whole "violent" episode) makes it all kind of Angelie Jolie-esqe.
