And, to all Alabama residents, remember to vote 12 December 2017 for Doug Jones over twice-fired Roy Moore. Last day to register to vote for this election is 27 November 2017.

Whatever your political leanings, it's important to remember today that both sides are bad.

In PA, don't forget that sneaky ballot measure that is supposed to rid us of property taxes.

Are you saying there are douchebags on BOTH SIDES? Sad.

I am saddened that my jurisdiction is not holding any elections today.

:(

For those of you in Washington, you should've already voted - it's a mail-in ballot, for Christ's sake.

VOTE.

Made it to my polling place at 7AM first thing.  The sooner I can rid my state of Chris Christie influence and lackeys, the better!

The only thing where I am is school board.

In 2020, I have the chance to flush a loaded toilet!

I am so pissed at Christie and the GOP I went straight down the Democratic line until I got to the town council. I know the two GOP candidates and like them.

Which means your vote seems substantively more likely to have an impact on the future course of the nation than my votes for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and state Delegate.

(Particularly the last; a novice is attempting to oust an incumbent in a medium-gerrymandered district.)

The downside is Atlanta has to replace the best Mayor they've had in 30 years.   I'll miss Kasim Reed despite not living in the city proper.

A friend of mine married a woman who will tell anyone who listens "I only vote in presidential elections - when it *matters*"

And then she complains about her property taxes and how the Township plows her street

Same for Oregon. My ballot was mailed well over a week ago.

I live in East Shiathole, ME, and I voted *against* the town ordnance to prohibit the sale of pot.

GO, TEAM POT!

Unfortunately, the GOP left an upper-decker.

There's no way I'm voting today.

The last time I voted, we ended up with Trump as president.

There's no telling what might happen this time.

Democrats are overwhelmingly favored to take back the governorship in New Jersey, where Gov. Chris Christie is wildly unpopular and has dragged down Republican Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno in her race against Democrat Phil Murphy.

Because the GOP is batshiat crazy.

Did my part for northwestern Virginia to deliver for Northam, Fairfax, and Herring. Let's hope this won't be a repeat of this time last year...I don't think my alcohol budget could handle the impact...

It sounds good but that tax is just being shifted - not truly eliminated. So it's just moving cost centers.

I'm watching the big races:
My school district vote for funding/new buildings (no kids, just school support=good community)
I know someone running for school board in another community

Probably not, Cook PVI is +25. Let's see what the final count is.

Like the SC special election earlier this year, there was little news coverage and no polling - and that was surprisingly close.

Well yeah, anyone who thinks the BA gets rid of property taxes is an idiot.  I'd rather property taxes, with their rather arbitrary assessment schemes, be replaced with increased state income taxes.

Ah, as per 538 - if Allen (the Democrat running in UT3) cracks 30%, it would be considered a strong showing.

Elections for the local gubmint in my little town today. I just got back from voting a little while ago. Either turnout was high enough for them to run out of "I dun voted" stickers, or they didn't order any.

I voted to re-elect our Republican mayor with nary a qualm. The man is sane, gets shiat done, and he's done well by the town. There was no Democratic candidate. The only other mayoral candidate was representing a group of derpy Facebook denizens who don't think the incumbent mayor is Republican enough.

The last time Fairfax County voted this big outside a Presidential election was Chuck Robb vs Oliver North in 1994.

Also 538: exit polls show that Northam won 62-36 among voters that decided in the last week.
