Who could have ever predicted that a misogynistic, raping (allegedly) kleptomaniac might be a bit of a head case three years later?

2017-11-06 12:34:29 PM
I'm a Saints fan, so I may be biased, but the fact that no one got ejected over that is awful. Winston didn't belong on the field, and he was provoking Lattimore as Lattimore was walking away. Evans should still be suspended and fined. That was a cheap shot. Just awful.

Winston was stupid.
Lattimore was stupid.
Evans was shiatcock farktarded.

So I guess Trumpler's confessed love of violent hits has forced the NFL to not eject players.

Good going, Trumpler. What the NFL really needs is more unpunished violence. And standing up straight just like your God Emperor has instructed.

I have really cut back on my NFL viewing. Simply because of shiat like that hit going unpunished.

That doesn't even rate on the "stupid shiat" scale.

I'm a guy that was a Winston hater and fully expected him to implode Johnny Football style.  But he's convinced me that he has at least matured enough to not be a douchebag off the field and you can't deny his athletic ability.

He had already shoved Winston. Maybe protecting was the wrong word, but retaliating. In hockey if anyone messes with your goalie you Fark them up. I see this as kind of the same thing. Basically sending the message "don't farking touch my QB".

Shove apparently means tap in your weird, weird world.

It's not like Winston pushed him down or anything, but he shoved Lattimore's helmet enough that the latter turned around and pushed him away before Evans came in full wrestling heel-style. He came off like a nice enough guy on Hard Knocks, but it was an annoying, bush league move. I don't blame Lattimore one bit for his reaction.

I get what you're saying.

It makes a little difference, but, man, get your head out of your ass Evans.  He barely touched him, was responding to Winston's "I'm not touching you" game, was disengaging at the time, and most importantly, Jameis Winston is not worth it.

Very well said. Evans didn't need to respond the way he did at all, and yes, Winston had it coming. I guess I can still see not letting anyone fark with your QB aspect of things.
I can promise you Winston will steal some crab legs take Evans out to dinner this week.

I see Evans' behavior as a microcosm of the whole national anthem fiasco: He saw something and reacted. He had no idea of the context, what led up to it or the repercussions and reacted without thinking, exacerbating everything.

If you're a douchebag to somebody by barely touching them and then acting like that wasn't what you were doing you deserve a solid punch to the mouth on general principle.

CSB: In high school I was in study hall completely minding my own business reading a book, I'll offer that any objective person watching would say I was not at fault in what started it. I wasn't talking to them or doing anything to them at all and there existed a history of these two kids messing with people.

Two kids a few seats over kept throwing wadded up paper at me until I told them not to do it again. One of the kids got up and went over towards me and as he was walking by he oh so lightly touched me with one finger because I'm sure he thought I wouldn't do anything over such a small infraction.

I got up out of my seat very quickly and slugged him hard in the face. He spun around and I punched him again in the back of the head, which was not the brightest thing I've ever done. His buddy pulled him away before I could do anything else.

The Dean, who as it turned out was an AV-8B Harrier II pilot in the Marine Corps Reserves after being active for twenty years, shook my non-sore hand an hour or so later after taking statements from everybody. For the rest of our time there the two punks acted as if I was invisible.

/may be experienced with punching somebody on or near the sidelines who didn't even know he hit them

I'm still curious why the injured Winston was coming off the bench to even speak to Lattimore.  Much less push him.

I'll go for that, Mike Evans may not have seen what led to his QB getting pushed. Even if he did though, if he hadn't hit Marshon Lattimore quite so hard from behind I'd be fine with it.

I'd say to protect your guy in almost all situations and then to make it exceedingly clear away from the cameras that he shouldn't pick fights expecting others to have his back again. With pro sports as it is being more focused on individual contracts and not a true team, Evans may have been smarter looking out for himself though.

Handing out artificial noisemakers in the 2004 Stanley Cup Finals made me hate the Lightning, though I must acknowledge I like their unis.
