These are the "Kamikaze Fries" from the KoJa Kitchen food truck that can be found in the San Francisco area most days.

Waffle-cut fries, minced Korean BBQ beef, kimchi, Japanese mayo, red sauce, green onions.

They are truly delicious. Although, I tend to order them without kimchi because it contains shrimp and I'm mildly allergic to shellfish (get itchy scalp).

Can we assume that "red sauce" = gochujang?

Englebert Slaptyback: Kimchi is tasty, tasty stuff!

NO! Just no...

I flew to Icheon (Seoul) once on Korean Airlines. Their dinner was kimchi or some noodle dish (which I choose). The ENTIRE plane stunk of Kimchi the rest of the flight. It was horrible.

Can anyone advise on the taste of kimchi.  I absolutely love sauerkraut and can sit down with a fork and a jar full and go to town.  Are they at all similar in taste and crunchiness?

That wasn't the kimchi you were smelling. More like kimchi flavored flatus.

My boss microwaved some left over kimchi one day. We have a small office so it smelled like death the rest of the day. Maybe it was microwaved death.

No. It doesn't sound tasty.

If you want to put whatever shiat you want in mac and cheese, fine.

I'm gonna eat it just as mac and cheese because why fark with something that's already awesome?

If you were in coach/steerage class, you may have been smelling the occupants rather than the food. I've made the same trek on KAL in business class multiple times and it was lovely.

PS 'Incheon'
