Morning all.

Dunno when the next round of indictments are coming. Mercer bailing yesterday seemed to indicate either he was next or the people he funded were and he needed distance.

the Flynn indictment/guilty plea is the clincher. Once that happens, and depending on which one happens, Donnie Two Scoops will either outright fire Mueller or Pence will resign due to the details of the confession. Trump would resign too if he was a normal president but we all know that's not the case.

I dunno. By the end of this, I think Sessions will be a case study in both "battered wife syndrome" and "Just how much politically reprehensible shiat will you commit and deny ever committing before you're called on it and forced to resign"

As far as timing of things - what time does Trump take off on his Asia trip?

/And when does AF1 leave American airspace?

If Jared ever has to do the perp walk, $10 says he spends the entire time sobbing uncontrollably about "Daddy." 1:3 odds he wets himself, 2:5 odds he barfs on an agent.

Buried Lede: "Bracing for charges against Flynn"

"White House officials and others in the case are bracing for charges against Mr. Flynn, a retired three-star general who had a short and tumultuous tenure as national security adviser. Mr. Mueller is investigating Mr. Flynn for not disclosing his Russian contacts or his foreign lobbying work."

Flynn, then, I am guessing.

Well knowing the bots and realizing what they're up to are two different things.  At first they're just "more active users".  Even though they're fake they fill the void with chatter.  It's not until later when you analyze their activity you realize what they're up to.

Kind of like the bots on Ashley Madison or the other dating sites.  Keep people connected and using the site.  More eyes equals more money.

They already had him on lying to congress, but gave him a second chance and he kept lying to congress.  I think he may have to step down, at a minimum, since he was to whom Papadapolis reported to and a second person came forward to note Sessions was well aware of Russia talk.

Would it be too much to ask to literally drain the swamp? Get some mining equipment and maybe one of those tunnel borers and just go to work, and then a year from now WHOOOMP the whole f*cking city just suddenly crashes into an abyss like something out of Roland Emmerich's wet dream.

yes. My running theory is that if he pleads guilty like Papadopoulos, he'll say enough shiat that will force Pence to resign (and enough to normally cause any other president to step down, but this is Donnie Two Scoops we're talking about).

the alternative is he gets indicted which will force Donnie's hand to push for firing Sessions/Rosenstein/Mueller.

we are given only two options thanks to the Manafort/Gates/Papadopoulos reveals. Flynn is probably going the Papadopoulos route but I could see him refuse to make a deal because his head is so far up his own ass he believes his own shiat about how awesome patriotic he is

No more indictments this week.  If one were to have happened today, it would have happened already.

None of the principals are going to be indicted soon, so we'll have to expect a buildup.  I'd call the principals Donnie, Pence, Flynn, Sessions, and any family of Donnie (so Ivanka, Donnie Jr., or Jared).

Mueller has a good indictment on fincen and on Russian collusion, so his next move might be to signal an intent to look at obstruction, which might be one of the lawyers, or it could be looking more directly at hacking, in which case, you'd expect Roger Stone or one of the Breitbart gang to get collared.

If one of those people starts changing his or her story, watch out for something big next week.

Didn't Flynn try to make a deal earlier in the year and the Feds told him to go away? I seem to remember something along those lines.

I was thinking that too.

He may be able to make a deal, but it's not going to be anywhere near as sweet as what Flipopotomus got.  I can see Flynn's deal as we'll give you life in prison vs execution.

Sessions' story has already changed multiple times and he's clearly committed perjury in the Senate hearings.  And to me the most important news from yesterday is that Manafort and Gates are flight risks.

The inner circle is under the spotlight and I'm guessing the heat is really on some of those principals you mentioned.  Do we know if Kush and/or Jr. are on the flight?  If so, Mueller might not want to let them out of the country.  An arrest on the tarmac would be farking awesome but I think Mueller has too much class for that.

FlashHarry: If Sessions does resign, can the new or acting AG quash the Mueller investigation?

If Sessions resigns then Rosenstein becomes the acting AG until Trump fires him or he resigns and then a woman whose name I can't remember becomes acting AG.  After her there's nobody apparently.

Trump cannot simply name a new AG - that's the good news.  The new AG would have to go through confirmation hearings.  So either Rosey or what's-her-name can fire Mueller if they so choose, but that would not be a good look for them given what we know right now.

What I find funny as hell is how back before he was released it was OMG do anything to get him released, and that lasted like what, six months after the release?  Now you'd think he was a Clinton.

He weighed in on it some time ago, which taints the judgment and punishment options as a conflict of interest.  Just like what may happen in the case against the Halloween terrorist.

Well it looks like Manafort and Gates are going to give, and quickly.  The more he attacks Clinton and the Dems the higher the likelihood that some shiat is about to go down.  Since he's still doing it after yesterday I'm guessing this will be an interesting thread in 5-6 hours.
