I don't care what anyone says.  Flash Gordon was the greatest movie featuring Max von Sydow ever made, with the possible exception of Strange Brew.

I was watching a DVD by the group Tabla Beat Science, a world music/electronica group featuring Zakir Hussein and Bill Laswell, only to find out that Alex Winter directed it.  An odd place for him to turn up.

As I was also in Strange Brew*, I declare this to be a tie.

* I was an extra, on screen for about 3 seconds, in the big polka tent/skunk dog scene near the end.

I don't (completely) blame Hayden Christensen for playing a character who was badly written...

/ ...at least "Revenge of the Sith" was tolerable
// Ian McDiarmid somehow managed to save that movie, IMHO.

2017-10-20 04:23:49 AM
Can't blame Hayden. Terence Stamp on working in the prequels with Natalie Portman:

"I did meet her and she was absolutely enchanting. But on the day I'm supposed to do my scene with her, for which I'd traveled halfway around the world, I said, 'Where's Natalie?' And George says, 'That's Natalie,' and points to a bit of paper on the wall. It was just boring."

I concede - that's a CSB!

Although, if I ever find an extra from 'Condor'.......

Hyuck hyuck - he said "Doody"

Seriously, IMDB shows that she's still working. Just because an actor scores a hit, and doesn't make or stay in the A-list, doesn't mean they don't have a career. Any actor that consistently scores a paying job more than once or twice a year is considered a success.

And good on her. I can't believe she's only four years younger than me:

He's also famous for posing for Norman Rockwell for several works, including one used by a nationwide ad campaign for Mutual Life Insurance. And I bet more people hung a print of the below painting on their walls (likely on a calendar) than ever saw Alice's Restaurant.

Oh, and a good bit of the movie was actually filmed in Stockbridge, so he probably slept at home every night during filming. The police station and courthouse scenes were filmed in Lee, MA, less than 5 miles away.

The performance of the Prison Break brothers in that is bizarrely bad. I haven't seen nearly enough of the DCTV universe to really understand what is going on, but I get the impression that they were supposed to be either one-off or short term villains on Arrow or the Flash (don't know which) and hammed it up, and then were popular or something and were brought back as main cast in Legends of Tomorrow and we're stuck being committed to those performances of the characters.

Anybody who has actually watched more than five episodes of all of those shows combined want to fill me in on if my guess is anywhere close to the mark?
