I don't need haunted houses for a good fright. I've got choices, i can visit the politics tab, or just look at my dwindling bank balance.

Same thing, really.

Going to Scream-A-Geddon soon.  Apparently if you choose it, they give you a mark or indicator of some time that says the actors are allowed to touch you, drag you out of line, and stash you in secret rooms.

The one near me costs $40/head per hour.  It goes to a good charity, but damn.

You don't want to know how much I've spent at Universal for Halloween Horror Nights this year.

But it's my favorite time there, and I live like 4 miles away.  It's my annual gift to myself.

In days of yore, before the internet, home video and cable, the buzz around my jr high was Scream In The Dark(sponsored by Youth for Christ) mainly thanks to some fairly effective promos on local top 40 radio. Five or ten bucks to get in, a lot for a kid in those days. Black lights, strobes, jump scares, rubber masks and gory makeup invading your personal space. More annoying than entertaining.

So at the end of all that you're herded into a room with no chairs and when it's full...

Jesus pitch.

Never went back or to another haunted house since and to this day I have little patience with evangelicals

"That's what Hell is like and you'll go there unless you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior."

Something like that?  Several co-workers have told me the same story today.  Must be part of their playbook.  lulz.

And if you're in the Philly area, try Terror Behind the Walls at the old Eastern State Penitentiary. If you opt in for the touching/dragging you out of line/sticking you in secret rooms, they give you a glowstick to wear around your neck.  I went a couple of Sundays ago.  Best haunted house I've ever been to.

\why, yes, I wore the glowstick
\\got "forced" to crawl through a small tunnel, and laid down on an operating table

I heard there's one like that in Detroit (yikes!) where they practically kidnap and tie you up and stuff.

Yours sounds awesome, though.  Too bad it's a bit late for a trip up.  I have family in Jersey.

Do any of the sites have funny pictures like the one in Niagara Falls?
