Next thing you know, there will be a warning that says outdoor football games have been shown to cause cancer in the state of California

They could play in Oakland, LA, or San Diego.  All three would be home games for the Raiders.

Who would they play against in San Diego?

You know... and I'm just saying here... if that POS stadium does burn down Oakland can, I don't know, build a new one with the insurance money, maybe?

Just spitballing here...

The Raiders have already committed to moving to Vegas.
Now, the A's have plans for a new stadium and would probably like some funds..

Any truth to the rumor that The Ghost of Al Davis will be taking 'fire' to court for lost revenues?

smoke routes, smoke screens, or smoke gets in your eyes played on the sound system all game long.

Might as well be tear gas by game's end

Also, the fires aren't in Oakland.
They're miles away; Oakland is awash in smoke and some ashes. Even more than usual.

Oh Please Please Please  move the game to San Diego. It would be worth it just to spite the Spanos family. Especially since the Chargers would be the road team in the same stadium that was once their home.

It's a giant concrete pit, it will survive the fires with no problem.

The stadium would rock with boos and probably be a sell out!

Smoke on the water in the Bay area?

They would still be playing the Chargers. The point is that it doesn't matter where in California they play, it will be a home game for the Raiders.

Although if they did play in San Diego, it would probably be more of a home game for the Chargers. Just sayin'.

Not sure if serious.

I grew up in San Diego. A lot of my friends are pissed that Spanos abandoned them. Right now, they would root for any team, even the Raiders, to beat the Chargers, just to stick it to Spanos.

If Spanos were forced to sell the team and the buyer moved them back to San Diego, they might earn some fans back, but right now the Chargers have little love outside the 5,000 or fans that show up in Carson.

You don't pay much attention to sports, do you?  95% of San Diego hates the Chargers.  Hell, the last time Oakland played in San Diego, Charger fans were outnumbered 3 to 1, and that was before they moved to LA.

Also helping it survive is the fact that the fires are like 50 miles away. As someone who lives here it is a TERRIBLE idea to play anywhere near here, the air quality is going to make people who are playing sick. I live a little further north than Oakland but you can see a smoky haze slightly obscuring the houses at the end of the block. Anything more than like half a mile to a mile away is completely obscured. The air looked terrible in Oakland when I was on BART yesterday and the air where I live seems worse today. Can't imagine in one day and the 15 miles to Oracle the air is somehow amazing.
