That video makes me wish I had kept playing the tuba in grade 5, even though it was super mean to give the fat unpopular kid the tuba.

Look up "My 2,000 Year Old Double" title of a show at a Canadian museum, Quebec, next year. It's amazing to see people standing next to much older works of art, and they have an uncanny resemblance to the subjects.

I guess I understand that these objects have historical value but

in this age where every neck bearded basement dweller can flawlessly photoshop God Emperor Trump riding a bear riding a shark over an exploding White House

I just don't see how these objects can be "worth" much of anything

I mean, it "looks" terrible

Looks don't matter much. Rarity is what sells. A 100 carat pink diamond is just a crystal, but there are very few of them, and high-quality cut pink diamonds sell for almost as much as high-end art. Ditto with rare coins: their intrinsic value is the same as scrap metal, but they're priced in the stratosphere. If the Mona Lisa was to go for auction, I wouldn't be surprised if it sold for more than a billion dollars, cuz there's only one, even if she isn't that hawt.

someone to remove bed, Hotel buys mattress, mattress company makes new mattress, etc...

This picture is wonderful.  You can't get this at a drive-in swap meet.  He looks so handsome, he stands so tall.  So glad he's big enough to cover up that hole in the wall.

/He means much more to me than some old Rembrandt or Van Gogh

Salvator Mundi?

Looks like he finally got the Mona Lisa right.

I am now free to reveal that Leonardo da Vinci wrote the original script for Basic Instinct. This is the secret that conspiracy theorists have been hiding in plain sight for the last five years or so.

Hook:  Lisa has a secret. In her pants!

Yup. He saw himself in the lead role, but Hollywood miscast Sharon Stone.

Well, when I say miscast, they did their best with what they had. Leonardo did the same. The original model for Mona Lisa was no prize herself. Just a rich merchant's wife. OK if you like your women Italian, cubby, and hiding terrible secrets.
