If they fall apart his season, the Chefs can still get in here.

I have a feeling the Steelers will get back on their feet and win it all. No, seriously. All championship teams have a bad game or two.

Won Super Bowl 40 five years after the Ravens did, it has been five years since the Ravens won their last one. I have a feeling history will repeat itself.

If the Chiefs are on their way to a bar in downtown Pittsburgh this week when the game against the Steelers is in KC, I'm OK with that.

The Steelers are going to lose the division even if they beat the Ravens twice. Look at the schedules.

They lost to the BEARS. That is strong enough to weigh an entire argument against the Steelers even sniffing the playoffs this year.

Ben is old (not Tom Brady old, OLD old), the defense isn't great, and the offense inexplicably looks like a shadow of itself from last year. I'd bet my house on the Phillies to win the 2017 World Series before I put any money on Pittsburgh to play the AFC Championship game.

Too bad they are coached by football's equivalent of Dusty Baker.

Speaking of, thank god that shiat isn't spammed in every thread now... for a couple years there it was nonstop spamming.

Ben has definitely taken city/offroad mileage vs. Tom's highway mileage, I think there was a picture of Ben during offseason practices where he's got so many ice wraps on him he looked like the michelin man.

All joking aside, they really do look very good this year. Hard to see any AFC team other than Denver beating them as long as they stay healthy.

I could see the Patriots beating them in January.

The Steelers run defense is atrocious and their offense is just refusing to click. Even when they win, it's not a strong win, and they struggle to close out games. This is the most underperforming I've seen in a while. I just don't see them getting their stuff together. The Patriots are a lot better at correcting and climbing.

Well, they don't have Schottenheimer, so maybe.

I really need to just mortgage the house and sell everything I own just to lay bets against the Steelers every time they play Jacksonvillle.  It generally doesn't matter how good the Steelers are or how bad Jacksonville is in any given year for reasons I don't understand they're just bad against them.

We could well be looking at a refresh of Owl #1

Tho, they'd score a LOT more than 10 points this time.

Not unless the Patsies rebuild their defense between now and then. And even with that it would be a stretch.

Not cool, man...  the last one of these in the KC area folded a long time ago, and it was about a year ago that Sweet Tomatoes closed down, so we are bereft of any of those dedicated salad/soup bar restaurants around here.

That was actually one of my daughter's favorite places to eat...

A lot of their issues with the defense are between their ears though and come playoff time when everybody is beat up physically then the mental aspect can close the gap.

They are just going to lose to the Broncos in the playoffs on a last minute drive again.

Steelers, Raiders, and Broncos coming up. Chefs won't make it to 10-0

/I realize the Raiders lost their QB, but they're still a divisional opponent so it can always go either way.

With all the money that has flown through the NFL, why hasn't anyone added a Clock Coach? (And: why is clock management so hard? There should be two plays for the QB to call that the players have down cold from the previous week, with predetermined snap counts, combined with flowchart-clear rules to follow on when to spike, when to throw the ball away, and when to call timeouts. Winning does not arise out of needless complexity.) This would make sense especially in cases like Andy's, where even the kid running the popcorn stand knows that things are going to get rough out there.

little big man: Chris: The Lamar Hunt trophy is named after our dead founder and we've NEVER won the f***ing thing! Meanwhile the f***ing Broncos probably give them away as raffle prizes at their Christmas parties.

He's right. I have two and was one number away from getting a third.
