FTA, what one of the painters will do: "Visualizing the complexities of globalization and transnational identity in works that layer paint, photographic imagery, prints, and collage elements."

Bring it, sister. Because that has sounded good for a long time, and now Trump is president. So what the fark is this shiat?

I will be surprised if they can give this out in ten years at the rate we are going. "But you're gonna hurt the snowflake's feelings if we don't give all of the a participation trophy."

When it became obvious what a dumb and cruel and spiritually and financially and militarily ruinous mistake our war in Vietnam was, every artist worth a damn in this country, every serious writer, painter, stand-up comedian, musician, actor and actress, you name it, came out against the thing. We formed what might be described as a laser beam of protest, with everybody aimed in the same direction, focused and intense. This weapon proved to have the power of a banana-cream pie three feet in diameter when dropped from a stepladder five-feet high.

Also related to Giddons: The keynote address she gave at the International Bluegrass Music Association last month makes for an interesting read, especially if you're interested in history of music.  (tl;dr version: What we think of bluegrass today had far more diverse influences than most people realize, in part because the people who started the folk revival in the early 20th century were remarkably racist).

I've never seen ED videos before, but that was so underwhelming I'm never going to bother buying it. Seriously, No Mans Sky kicks the shiat out of that, and freighter vs freighter capitals can't even fight.

I dedicated at least one planet to a life. Rolled up to some planet that was like "neilamk" and I'm like fark yea planet "Neil Manke Rules"

It was an extreme so I camped out in a cave for the night to get my trophy.

Ugh, spellcheck. It was something like that, but it made me immediately recognize Manke.

NMS is the ultimate Zen experience.

Atlas had forsaken me on a planet with dodecahedron minerals and nothing else. The final portal was shown, but my game was bugged so I had passed where I was supposed to creat my Traveller star. (Real travellers already have known this) Had to backtrack. Hell, I had made 10 Hearts of the Sun as if I needed them like Atlas Stones. But when I did it, Atlas showed me the planet, but wouldn't let me go back to the portal.

I'm like What. The. Fark.

Breach planets. The first had aircraft parts littered from me to the horizon, this was the first of these planets Atlas shown me. I was utterly bewildered at what I he had shown me.

This planet. Dodecahedrons as far as the eye could see. I thought I was okay. I searched this planet for at least an hour on my skidder exocraft, searching for the portal. I finally gave up. I trekked back to the ship and lifted off. As I was flying upwards to the atmosphere, I saw them; fallen travelled ships in the sky. I nearly puked in my suit. This was not a planet to ever been seen by human eyes, it had been forsaken by God Himself. And then I see the remains of those who had come before me.

I resolved myself to my task. I had to escape the Euclid dimension and see the stars beyond. Xziantartes, my faithful freighter, named by demons long before me. It doesn't have a warp drive, and must piggy-back off my ships drive.

But God left a spiral path for me. All I had to do was keep Xziantartes with me. Warp, swap ships to Usanagi ZX-10, my junky fighter. I set out, to locate at black hole at 1300 light years.

"Black hole over the port bow, captain!" My crew tells me. I must don the fighter, torn asunder by time and space in a way that no alien pirate could ever tear into me. I suit up, and set out into the void. To look upon the event horizon is to see ultimate death. I don't know what ship momentum matters, I feel torn apart from the inside every time I journey through it.

10,000 light years again. Each and every farking time I'm just a tiddly wink away from where I was before. I started approximately 800,000 light years from my goal. And each soul-wrenching warp I'm a fraction of the way there.

Xziantartes is my only companion. Between me and an infinite void, my only soulmate which keeps me sane. A farking red orb, God, promised me meaning, and then it abandoned me on that forsaken planet.

For reasons only known to God, he perpetuated this farce. Just when I was scrounging for minerals to create antimatter and warp fuel, He provides me with some trader who just happens to have some ridiculous amounts of antimatter. Like serious? Do you know how many star systems you could destroy with this haul?

I do t give one single shiat. I buy his entire farking stock and begin converting it to warp fuel. Jesus Christ, I've got 500,000 light years to go, let's get this party started!

Travelers log, I have no farking clue where or whence I am. I'm listening to Blue Oyster Cult's Imaginos album, which farking rocks socks, but I'm where? 300,000 light years out? Fuuuuuuu

Jump. Xziantartes. Fighter and black hole. Jump, Xziantartes, black hole. I feel like I'm going crazy. I am going crazy. Does this end?

30,000 light years out. Where am I? I was farking promised exotic craft and white haulers. Yea I see em and they suck dick. My ships were found on desolate rock, S-class and the highest level. I literally could not get rocket launchers because I left my first fighter on some God-forsaken rock. fark.

But here we are. We are so close. But I'm at the nearest star system. It's a stones throw from my longest warp. But the supermassive black hole is farking 30,000 light years away.

/pro tip, when I figure out how to warp, you never hear from me again

Im 100% sure that list contains people who really are not the superior person in their field of knowledge, not even top 15%.  That list stinks of a random bus load of people visiting a natural organic wine artisan colony for a hollistic oatmeal buttermilk applebutter sage enema with enlightened mud bath goat lotion exfoliating experience while naked during a blood moon in autumns harvest with bonfires made from naturally fallen timber and a meal consisting of tofu and frozen essence of rubarb drizzled over greens with a glass of the finest sanctuary protected immigrant foot pressed wine.

No man's sky & Elite Dangerous are really not alike at all.
Similar in some ways, for sure

No man's Sky - You are the center of attention, the main character, here is some stuff to do.

Elite Dangerous - You are a peon with a spaceship. get to work &  entertain yourself.

both are good games
I personally think Elite is a way better experience

Cool.  I had a class with Stefan Savage, way back in the day.

It was nominally called "Introduction to Computer Architecture", because the weren't allowed to call it "Assembly Programming to Separate the Wheat from the Chaff".  Serious "weeder" class. His version of that class has probably ended as many prospective engineering careers as Organic Chemistry has ended medical careers.

Cool guy though, but hanging out near him will make you intensely paranoid.
