This is a great strip if you own a dog or cat or both.

Mods: might want to change the URL to

The current link won't work tomorrow...

...or maybe France surrendering to everything is just an old cliche'?!?!?

There's a place in France where the alligators dance.

Get Fuzzy is a very cool strip. They rag on france fairly regularly too.

Touch Fuzzy.. Get Dizzy!

Weeep.. wooop.. weeep.. wooop..

I may be the only one who gets this. I am comfortable with that.

Kanyakumari: I get it.

2002-01-11 09:32:42 PM
That really is a truely funny comic strip. Most are boring and lack creativity.

2002-01-11 09:34:31 PM
Get Fuzzy is the pinnacle of human evolution.

2002-01-11 09:35:19 PM
That was pretty funny

Anyone see Futurama last Sunday? Well, it was about a series of stories, one of which was about old video games. Anyway, they were doing a mock-up of Space Invaders, and when the final space ship landed, all the characters came down this long ramp. One of them said, "All our base belong to us", and I was wondering where they got that from.

Oh yeah, and I like Get Fuzzy.

kanyakumari:
I get it. I'm sure I'm not the only one here on FARK that gets it.

On a side note, will the real boobies links please stand up, please stand up?

eddie, i saw that. from watching the show the people that make it strike me as the kind of internet semi-geeks like moist of us on fark, and most likely got that from here or somewhere else.

Black Pudding has appeared!

Best... comic... ever.

Actually, the French defense works very well in chess. Here's a (serious) synopsis of it: you respond to the standard kings pawn opening wrong (with KP3), you develop in a cluttered and ineffectual manner, then you wait for them to initiate the attack.

It actually works very well, if you can keep on top of things. Average players (and even a lot of very good players) can't help but make an overhasty attack, and a lot of very effective counterattacks drop out as soon as pieces start being removed.

Of all the modern dry and boring newspaper strips, this is the only one I would read if I ever ventured into the funny pages anymore. Sadly I don't think any of the local papers get it (Connecticut). Pleased to read it online though. Nice and refreshing strip, unlike the other cat/dog strip (featuring lasagna/laziness) that should be put down while it has a fraction of dignity left (and I'm being generous here).

I really think uncensored and imaginative web comics have spoiled me. :)

PatrickBateman Sorry.

That title is a three-way tie between "Calvin & Hobbs", "Bloom County" & "The Far Side"

(honourable mentions to "Mary Worth" for purely essoteric reasons)

Yeah, um, French jokes have been around since France surrendered the first time. That's like saying FoxTrot read SomethingAwful because they made an AYB joke.

But nice try, we do have some nice compilation prices including a picture of A MILLION DOLLARS!

"I like the ones where the mouse kills the cat."

France sucks. Haven for terrorists. Bomb it.

Sidi: Ahh, good old chess.

I'm still partial to Sluggy Freelance and Penny Arcade, myself.

This is certainly an entertaining strip, nonetheless. I'm reading through the archives and I may just become an addict. So cats aren't just annoying by accident... I knew it!

2002-01-11 10:59:11 PM
stand by for the *heheheheheh* backlash!

2002-01-11 11:01:16 PM
btw....this is a CANADIAN strip.

2002-01-11 11:07:17 PM
I still like The Boondocks and FoxTrot.

AeroSquid I think the Klingon bird of prey flying over the nude chick scares me the most....

Get Fuzzy rocks. Sucks that the local paper doesn't have it. Thank allah for the internet.

Sprouts rule!

What? You guys don't like "The Family Circus?"
Now there is a funny strip!

Oh, nevermind

So, any regular readers wanna tell me why Satchel has a bandage on his arm?
I missed reading the strip for a few weeks because of work and school and I'm just curious.

2002-01-12 12:17:29 AM
Satchel's always getting hurt or wounded, usually by Bucky. Drop a few bucks and get his first book collection...money well spent...I've never looked at my cat the same way since...

Get Fuzzy also did several tributes to Douglas Adams when he died. Some were obscure, like the guy in the strip wearing a shirt that said 6x9=42

2002-01-12 12:48:12 AM
Darby Conley needs a trophy. If he already has one, he needs another one.

2002-01-12 01:07:04 AM
Satch chased a bike and his paw got caught in the spokes.

2002-01-12 03:51:42 AM
aww.. you're all winners.

My wife and I have our own ideas about "touch fuzzy.. get dizzy.."

:)

GetFuzzy used to be cool. Then it got hit and miss, then it sucked and I stopped reading it. Now I think I might give it a second chance.

Get Fuzzy is one of the new breed quality strips. I also like Sherman's Lagoon, Zits, and sometimes Over the Hedge.

Rose is Rose has some of the best art though. I like the changing view perspectives and quality art, the dialog is only so so though.

This comic strip rocks. For anyone in the NYC area, it appears in the NY Daily News.

I wonder what that wacky Marmaduke is up to.......

I love Get Fuzzy, I thought I was the only one. It's pretty much the only reason I read the Rocky Mountain News comics, all of the other ones BLOW. Who decides which comics are funny? I should. ..
