I use Edge on my tablet because it is far more responsive than Chrome, which has a lag when you scroll the page. Edge is fast and now has extensions like UBlock and Ghostery. But sometimes the tabs will disappear. You tap the top of the fram and they all appear again, but it's a tad annoying. And sometimes it forgets my Fark login so when I try to comment Fark tells me I need to enter my user name and password.
But overall I like it. Chrome has things that annoy me just as much, like every time I save or download something it opens a download bar across the bottom of the screen that then stays there until you manually close it. And the lag when using it with touch.

I've gone back to my Android phone so I'll give Edge a try.

I really wish someone at MS could explain what they even think Edge is supposed to be for.  Nobody wants it, nobody uses it, and it seems like a waste of their time to pretend othewise.

loonatic112358: zang: loonatic112358: dv-ous: I've worked on projects that have, for whatever reason, not panned out - never released or never deployed to production. It's kind of demoralizing.

I can only imagine what Edge/IE developers much feel.

Considering the working conditions I imagine they're in, pain, nothing but pain.

Oh the humanity!

but do we know if the Edge Developers are actually there, and allowed to roam freely, or are they stuffed into a closet until misery and pain pour out in the form of code to build a browser

/it's not bad, but I only use it for work stuff like the internal website

That's about a 30 second walk from the building where at least some of the Edge engineering team works.  They have good breakfast but I'm not partial to the espresso vendor they picked for that location.  Cell phone stores, bike store, credit union branch, hair stylist, optometrist, and several restaurants there as well, all on campus.  I think that building in the distance has rotating international chefs at the cafeteria, and what's effectively the company gym / family sports center is another block down the road.  They have a free shuttle you can take.

Have Edge at work. Reasonably fast, no notable issues. Some websites think it's an old IE version for some reason and give me the "WTF UPGRADE NOW!" message even though it's fully updated, but that's fairly rare, and has never caused usability issues.

/Posted using Edge.
