Indonesians, in my experience, love them some snake. But it's usually stuff like venomous cobra's etc...

Been to a few hole in the wall restaurants in West Java where you pick out your cobra from the live ones being kept in cages. Then they put a big metal 'chip clip' on it's head to hold it down for the beheading. Afterwards they fling the head in today's bucket of heads and bleed the snake into a cup. This is then mixed with a type of rice wine which is served with your snake-three-ways dinner.

Of course there were also the 'grab a cobra in the field by the head and take it home for dinner' simple meals too.

In Laos, baby Cobras are put into bottles of whiskey.

I told our offshore development group to switch to switch to Java or .NET.  But apparently their 6 month immersion courses that they call "Bachelors' equivalent" for H1B purposes only have time to cover one language; syntax, no analytical knowledge.

Mr Nababan told Indonesian news outlet Detik: "I tried to catch it, my hand was bitten, and I managed to wrestle it."
The 37-year-old did not give an exact reason for why he tried to catch the python, but said there were villagers who could not cross the road because of the snake.

They didn't cross the road because they didn't want to get to the other side...

This video of somebody making a snake trap (and catching a big python) is interesting. The bird probably didn't appreciate its part in the trap though.

He was taken to a hospital in Pekanbaru city, where he is still recovering, said Elinaryon, head of the Batang Gansal district government.
The official, who like many Indonesians goes by one name, told the BBC that Mr Nababan's hand was badly injured and that doctors "might have to cut it off".

Indonesians have cool names.. or should I say name?
Must be confusing as heck though if the populace only have one name names. How do you easily identify which John or George or Mary ? .. seems very archaic and inefficient!
