fluffy_pope: optikeye: William S Burroughs also was responsible for the naming of the band "Steely Dan"
Which was the nick name of a steam powered dildo in the novel "The Naked Lunch"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steely_Dan

And two other groups, The Soft Machine and Insect Trust. And he kinda got the term "heavy metal" out there.

I had heard that he was one of the first to use the term heavy metal, but wasn't sure if it was true or not.
