Comments called it. Rolling shutter. It's an artifact of the camera lens.

I found the razor yo-yo beneath it more entertaining. Even if there is a game ad in the middle of it.

No thank you. Stuck my fingers through that hole once....once. Some unseen stranger inhales them until I'm tickling their epiglottis. Hell, I wouldn't even wipe with that hand afterwards.

You can see octaves and other oddities if you hold the strings so you can see a CRT TV behind them.  Basically each octave keeps adding figure 8 patterns.

I suspect a real strobe tuner shows it as well, but I've never used one.

Reminds me of some stuff I saw at a talk by Edward Tufte, except done on the instrument itself.
