Well, she does have the consolation that she will be succeeded by Boris, so she will end up looking less stupid by comparison.

I see a lot of support for Catalonia laving but when Britain tries to do it its bad? The People's sovereignty is important. Too bad in England they will likely lose their identity to demographics over the next few decades.

Reminds me of an incident many years ago. The company I was working for had just undergone a huge (and expensive thanks to the management consultants) strategy review and announced a big portfolio rationalisation. The local highway authority was at the same time reconfiguring the roads around the office and erected a sign right outside reading "Changed Priorities Ahead". Oh how we laughed...until most of us were made redundant.

I kinda remember during Clinton's administration, some guy that was in charge of the FAA or DOT or some shiat, giving some speech about "the FAA/DOT is stronger than ever, our infrastructure is not crumbling, andwe're kicking ass" and as he's giving the speech, the department's logo behind him fell down.  as if to mock his "our infrastructure is strong" claim....

In the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, a P45 is the reference code of a formtitled Details of employee leaving work. The term is used in British slang as a metonym for termination of employment. The equivalent slang term in the United States is pink slip.

Thanks, I was puzzled.

Upside down and backwards. The flagpole edge of the flag in on the right. Flip the upper right corner of the flag in the picture and you'll see the stripe's orientation is wrong.

Umm.  Which England?  to which demographics?  Because there hasn't been pure, unsullied "native English" since the mid-Bronze Age.  Hell, even the English are a demographic that ended the identity of those before.  And they've been demographed several times since.  It is amazing that despite near constant demographic "invasions", England is still England.

I think the white vertical stripe down the right hand side is the flagpole bit, so in that case it is upside down.

Ah, thank you. I didn't notice the white stripe being the poleside. So it's doubly wrong and showingthe right way ... kinda.

Potato =/= bananas. Catalonia wants to be free from Spain but in the E.U., like they were 4 years ago, having all that autonomy. Kinda like Scotland. But the U.K. is leaving and taking the kids.

They lost that long ago, if you consider English identity to belong to white people.  I worked in London decades ago, and it seemed that half the people in Mayfair were Arabs and their wives, with endless money, and half were Indians on the Tube in colorful garments who worked very hard in their own restaurants offering chicken tikka masala as take-home after the pubs closed.

This is the England that England chose for itself.  It decided that natives of former colonies (India, etc.) were allowed to move there, because they were British citizens before the colony was declared independent.

If Britain hadn't declared itself an empire, the streets would be much whiter today.  But they had to profit off those colonies, didn't they?  And, eye-roll, exercise the ultimate white man's privilege.

The Brits need a more symmetrical flag.  Or a less symmetrical one; either would help.
