Prince gone, Tom Petty gone, this dickhead still around. Just proves that any higher power is a myth.

Bummer, video not available in US.  I actually kinda like the new single, considering it is pretty much the most Morrissey new Morrissey song I have ever heard...
Here is a working video -

Dick Cheney still being alive should be proof enough of that...

He's coming to my town, but I had to pass. He wants too much for a ticket. I cried.

I thought the title of the song in the headline was a joke. Heh.

Of course it's a joke. He clearly didn't spend the day in bed.

I love old Morrissey and The Smiths, but this new song is shiatty. Which, I understand, damages my point when I say that Later...with Jools Holland is consistently the best music show on TV. Sort of a "tallest of the pygmies" thing, I know. I guess Morrissey gets the lifetime achievement award for booking PR gigs.

I like Moz and all, but he's better with Marr and Joyce, and Marr was correct when they broke up, that Morrissey is not musically dynamic and his song stylings are stuck in 1960's England.

Even worse, nowadays Morrissey is just political complaining set to Cilla Black songs. He hasn't made a listenable album for over 10 years now.

And his politics are even more retrograde: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morrissey#Racism_controversies

His voice is excellent.  I'll pay scalpers for the best seats to any of his concerts I can attend and I'd pay $10k for good seats to a Smiths reunion.

Best songwriter of the past 100 years.

Let's not forget Rourke's contributions, since we're name calling the other three quarters of the band.  Solid player, not afraid to move about the fretboard, and contributed cello!

I've always wanted to follow him around on tour and have a BBQ tailgate party in the parking lot of every venue.

That was very "Brian Wilson's schizophrenia" level lyricism.
