Is B.o.B. an actual idiot or a troll looking to fleece the rubes? And... I've already given this clown more thought than he deserves.

Troll. It's always a troll. Nothing is real. Even the antivax thing. I'm starting to think Jenny McCarthy is at least part fake.

I still have some flat-Earth lit from my grad school days. My favorite article, by far, argues that by constructing so many skyscrapers that the USA consumed more gravity during the 20th century than did the rest of humanity during all of civilization.

You solve this with a boxing match.

Oblates vs. Flatters.

Ok, honestly, I just want to see Buzz Aldrin give another dude a knuckle sandwich.

Hey I liked them before they sold out to Microsoft too but in retrospect Halo was a triumph.

Nice vid, but y'know it doesn't help 'prove' to these trolls when the video showing the supposed curvature exhibits massive barrel distortion from the wide-angle lens.

The first photo doesn't, but the video from the ISS certainly does.  Otherwise judging by the way the middle east appears, it takes up the whole visible part, which appears to be about 20% of the earth's circumference.

Really, BoB?  You think how this works?  People say the earth is round because they're HIDING something?People deny the existence of aliens because they're hiding them and want to hoard all the knowledge they give to themselves?  We don't have any cars that run on water because the government is HIDING that technology?  We don't have a cure for cancer because there are drug companies that are HIDING it because it would put them out of work?

Look, I'm sorry you have trust issues, man.  It seems to be a trend nowadays.  I can understand how you can think white people are just hiding all the good crap for themselves.  However, assuming it's all one big cover-up is absurdly stupid, and it's thinking like that which is preventing us from proceeding as a society, pretended or no.

Think for yourself, schmuck.

The flat earthers have had a website since the 90's IIRC and pretty much every argument was designed to incense anyone reading it. Why would anyone take them seriously?

Consumed gravity?  Now that's a new one I haven't heard and I'm pretty up to par with my Flat Earth go to excuses.

You know what? I say let them, as long as they have live cameras pointed at everything at all times -the rockets, the satellites, B.o.B. himself, and the Earth as seen from the spacecraft-and are not allowed to turn them off for any reason. Contrary to TFA, I don't think it's a waste of money or resources to watch their shiat fall completely apart in realtime, as it happens. Replication and debunking both have value; therefore, so does the occasional re-debunking.

I tought Halo (the first one) was great as a spiritual succesor, their efforts since have been a huge disappointment

That is weird even by FE standards.  The usual clam trap is gravity simply does not exist.

You must be new to quackery. If B.o.B. gets his satellite images and they show his curve, either he will say he's been hacked (or some other lame excuse) or the rest of the Flat Earthers will conclude that B.o.B. is a fake FEer.   After all the Flat Earth Society is usually called a fake FE organization.

You might recall what happened when Obama's original long-form birth certificate was published.  I knew it would make no difference and it didn't.  Birtherism is still going and the recently pardoned Nazi-sympathizer former sheriff recently returned to proving birtherism.  And of course umpteen times when some prophet predicts the end of the world. Pretty much every time it is whoops I failed to carry the one, the world did end, it will end when this generation passes, or some other crap excuse.
