TheotherMIguy: Heard on NPR this morning that his inspiration for "I Won't Back Down" was someone trying to kill him and his family by burning their house down. Screw you, arsonist!

...and he invited him to the CONCERT THAT NIGHT. And he looked him right in the eye and SANG THAT SONG TO HIM.

Without having read the article, I'm going to choose to believe that he closed out his last set with his finest song, the eternally-relevant "You're Jamming Me."

If his last song was American Girl, does that mean he's trapped in a pit in someone's crawlspace in Tennessee being asked to put on skin lotion?

CSB:

When I was a young lad still running track, I was lined up for the 400m at the League finals.  Off in the distance, I hear "Won't back down..."  Inspired, I then ran the fastest 400m of my life.

factoryconnection: The "glowing skeleton" look of him in that video, normally an annoying feature of phone recordings, seemed really apt in this case.

I'd just like to say to Mike Campbell, though, after watching him butcher that lead: C'mon, maaaan!

I used to play guitar in a band that covered American Girl and I would also often butcher that solo.  So now I don't feel so bad!
