Marco Rubio is the only one who used the correct hashtags, though. I'm worried God may not see those other Tweets if he's not filtering his searches correctly.

Ten Reasons Assault Weapons Should be Available to Everyone

1.  "Assault Weapon" is just a media scare word for a firearm that is meant to kill a lot of people all at once.
2.  They are essential protection if the Expendables break into your garage.
3.  They are also essential if the government becomes so tyrannical that they start providing health care to everyone.
4.  Black guy... president... must get to gun store!
5.  If you only put six bullets into one, an elk will just walk that right off...
6.  Those innocent concert goers aren't going to kill themselves...
7.  It's the most effective way to determining whether or not your toddler is smart enough not to shoot himself in the face.
8.  Because maybe everyone IS laughing at you behind your back.
9.  It's a wonderful way to showing your neighbor that you are serious about his lawn clippings on your driveway.
10.  They are a non-invasive solution to tiny genitalia.

If the shooter used automatic weapons as some sources are reporting, they would not have been covered by the ban in any case.

No need to ban assault weapons. Just manufacture them so the cartridge has to be manually fed into the receiver before each shot.

2. If not, did this a-hole obtain it legally?
3. Would the proposed ban have done anything about this weapon?

The "Second Amendment" people will react as they always to to tragic gun violence. They'll buy even more guns and ammo.

If it was truly a fully auto weapon, then it would have been legal if the guy went through an extensive background check process and paid extra fees.

So most likely it was an illegal gun, as the people who go through the process don't tend to go through 9-12 month long background checks just to commit illegal acts like murder. It doesn't matter that Nevada allows full auto weapons, since the federal government doesn't.

He also could have modified the weapon, which would also be illegal.

So no, the proposed ban wouldn't have done anything. If the guy used a fully auto weapon, it is highly likely that it's either an illegal weapon or illegally modified.

Maybe a ban would have done nothing. But perhaps it would have been better to enact the ban like, I dunno, 20 f*cking years ago, or like, after Columbine happened. Or earlier. Maybe banning firearms a full 40 years ago would mean this stuff would be WAY less likely to occur now. No one knows, and no one is even allowed to study it out.

Maybe it's kind of like, this shiat can't be fixed now because every other fear-driven Rushbot 'working man' jerkoff in America decided that 'being a man' requires owning a firearm, and has upped their purchases over the years to 10-15 firearms each to go alongside their 'tactical flashlight' and kevlar armor.

I think the ammosexuals are correct in that nothing will prevent mass shootings. There will always be nutcases and there will always be guns. That said, the response shouldn't be "oh well."

At the very least they should have to reload after 10 shots. Give us a fighting chance.

Ok, let me translate for you:

No, the AWB wouldn't have done anything. It doesn't cover fully automatic weapons. Fully automatic weapons require a lengthy background check and a special license already, and they are a totally different category of weapon., So it wouldn't have done a single thing. It is almost certain that these were guns either purchased illegally or illegally modified. There is nothing in the AWB that would have made illegal weapons "more" illegal.

There are more guns in his country than people. The per capita rate of gun related death is a rounding error. Fast food kills orders of magnitude  more people than guns do. Your statements are hollow

Now let's review the conservayive rules folks...

If the shooter is a Muslim, the shooting is the fault of Islam and reflects on Muslims.

If the shooter is Black, the shooting is the fault of Thug culture, and reflects on the entire African American community.

If the shooter is white, the shooting is the result of mental illness and reflects on no one but the shooter.

No, it's not. Gun-related deaths are easily top 20, factoring into almost half of suicides which are #10. 33000 a year.

Fast food kills orders of magnitude  more people than guns do.

So? What's your f*cking point? That you can't prevent something because the daily food decisions of millions of Americans kills you more often? Sorry that's just stupid talking.

Your statements are hollow
