With all due respect to his accomplishments, such as they are (unwatchable movies and failed efforts at other television shows) Lorne Michaels should have retired 15 years ago.

It's only funny because he keeps breaking character.

This is weird....

Is this our "What's Up With That" replacement?

2017-10-01 12:58:07 AM
Yeah I don't see Mr Gosling returning to host any time soon.

Di Atribe: Is this our "What's Up With That" replacement?

No that was at least funny for a good 5 installments.

Honkin' the horn on the way there, too.

Last skit of the night is usually a bit off the rails

It's SNL. They're not that picky.

He'll be too busy making oodles of money being shirtless in movies.

I was thinking the same thing.

...except this wasn't that good.

That was horrible

At least it was funny when Leslie Jones couldn't rip apart the jeans.

I think by this time, the entire cast got into a barrel of weed.

So, Hef hosted a long time ago, huh?

Di Atribe: Last skit of the night is usually a bit off the rails

True.

And with that, I'm off to pillow land. G'night all.

Maybe we should have too.

Not bad for a closer. Fliplets and Henrietta were weak. The rest was OK. I guess we can't have Kate in every sketch.

30 Rock. Your argument is invalid.

Gee, Baldwin as Trump in the cold open? AND a replay of the alien abduction sketch? Wow, really stretching the ol' writing muscles.

Kind of a mediocre season premiere, from what I've seen of it. The Trump opener was merely OK. "Fliplets" went on a little too long. Didn't mind Gosling cracking up or some of the weirder sketches like "Papyrus".

Liked Jay-Z's second song, but just because of the sample or whatever the background singing was. From what I've read on here, Ryan Gosling needs to save Jay-Z.

As for the new cast members, Chris Redd seems like he'd be funny, and Heidi Gardner is kind of cute. But was Luke Null in any sketches tonight? If he wasn't, he's living up to his name.

Hillbilly Jim: SunTzuX: Can the background singer get her own song? I'd rather hear that.

maybe there'll be a Pink Floyd like instrumental

"The Great Worn-Out Gag in the Sky" ?
