Raising Gazorpazorp is probably my least favorite episode as well (only seen it once compared to the other episodes), although I was expecting to see Interdimensional Cable 2, which is probably my 2nd least favorite.

Top 5 for me:
 - Look Who's Purging Now
 - Something Ricked This Way Comes
 - Total Rickall
 - Rickshank Redemption
 - Ricklantis Mixup

Bonus: Pickle Rick or Vindicators 3

/Hard to list a top 5 or 10
//Easier to list the 2 episodes that are my least favorite

2017-09-29 12:42:05 PM
The Ricks Must Be Crazy is probably my number one, easily top 5 for me.

2017-09-29 12:47:46 PM
Ricklantis was brilliant.

The I-TV episode was the weakest.

Carry on.

2017-09-29 12:53:44 PM
Rick Potion #9 is definitely my fav.

2017-09-29 12:55:11 PM
The Ricks Must Be Crazy was meta, which normally isn't funny.

"And now I hate it and want it to die by fire. But that's because of people's reactions or I would love it."

I've heard that a LOT about the show -- it's hated because of people's reactions, eg yelling "PICKLE RICK" all the time -- but not from its creator.  Funny!

2017-09-29 12:59:09 PM
*belch* that's, like *urge* your opinion, man.

That's not what he was saying. He explains in TFA that he hated it because fans said it was a weak episode, and criticized the gender role commentary as being outdated. He hates it because fans didn't like it.

For the record, it's not my favorite of his episodes, but I liked it just fine and thought it was great.

I find there are several "meh" episodes that get saved by a great ending twist or post credit scene.

2017-09-29 01:08:32 PM
Big Trouble in Little Sanchez is great, but only for the marriage counseling part of the plot.  Tiny Rick in high school is meh.

2017-09-29 01:12:55 PM
Favorite would be Pickle Rick, followed by The Rickshank Redemption and Interdimensional Cable #1.

Least favorite would be Morty's Mind Blowers. Just felt like a filler clip show of extra-dark ideas not great enough to be a whole episode. Next-weakest would be the pilot episode, which sorta has the excuse of being made before the show had really found its footing.

2017-09-29 01:22:10 PM
I think my least favorite is the last time they did inter-dimensional TV. It was a cute gymic, but got a little tiresome.

My favorite episode is the one where Rick tries to clone his long lost dog and Morty spends the whole time being super jealous. And in the end, they found out the dog actually lived a full long life so they decided not to clone him, but the dog actually spent the rest of his life waiting for Rick until it died of loneliness.

That episode was a real tear jerker.

I loved Raising Gazorpazorp. It's a Morty episode. Morty's struggles with Morty Jr. are priceless -- trying to responsibly raise a son, while protecting both the world from it and it from the world, all while being 15 years old and completely over his head are fundamental to the differences between him and Rick.

And despite no one appreciating this, he succeeded. Morty Jr turned out to be a more successful and well-adjusted adult than Beth did.

Overall I agree with you. But the episode did give me one of my favorite scenes

Worst were the Interdimentional Cables and Gazorpazorp.  Real stinkers. Best is definitely Ricks Must Be Crazy.  I have spoken, all other opinions are now invalid.

2017-09-29 01:28:18 PM
Meeseeks and Destroy is still my favorite (by a slim margin).

2017-09-29 01:29:59 PM
If I have to pick a favorite episode, I'm leaning toward either The Ricks Must be Crazy, or A Rickle in Time.

First one I saw was Something Ricked This Way Comes, and it'll always be at or near the top. Rick facing off with the devil and showing him up with science to the point that he's driven to a suicide attempt? And then he and Summer doing a steroid training montage to DMX and delivering well earned beatdowns?
I was hooked for good.

2017-09-29 01:36:20 PM
I don't know the name of the episode, but my favorite one was where there was alien parasites in the house that infuse memories into you.  It was just hilarious.

Had no idea this was a 'white people show.'  Should I check my privilege?

"Raising Gazorpazorp" and its "women be shopping" jokes would probably sit a lot better with him if the entire redpill/MRA/incel/Gamergate/PUA community hadn't unanimously decided that Rick and Morty was speaking directly to them like a burning bush.

And that what that burning bush was saying is "You are awesome and uncomplicatedly perfect like Rick, and the rest of the universe is just a biatch for you to fark. Also, speaking of, check out this Rule 34 .gif of Beth farking herself with a wine bottle. HAHA NOT SO SMART NOW ARE YOU YOU DRUNKEN BIATCH LOLOLOL!"

I'm totally capable of hating Harmon (he's successful! fark that shiat!) but I do feel pretty bad for him and everyone else associated with the show on that point. (Especially the female writers who the MRA fans stalked.) Every show is going to attract asshole fans, but it's bad luck when you attract ALL of the BIGGEST assholes and they won't shut up about how great your show is.

The Ricklantis Mixup is the best episode. All other answers are simply incorrect.

White person? Probably not.

Nerd? Probably so.

Rick and Morty is amazing.

Meeseeks and Destroy
Total Rickall
Ricks Must be Crazy
Mortynight Run (farking Jerryboree kills me)
Tales from the Citadel

Yeah: the Morty plot was solid, the Rick plot was tired. My favorite part? When Brad Anderson of Marmaduke fame comes in to help.

My top 5;

Auto Erotic Assimilation - "We need a hang glider, and a crotchless Uncle Sam costume, and I want the entire field of your largest stadium covered end to end with naked redheads, and I want the stands packed with every man that remotely resembles my father."

Then there the whole suicide attempt at the end that despite the episode exploring the depths of depravity one could engage in if romantically involved with a hive mind just a few minutes earlier both feels real and very sad.

M. Night Shaym-Aliens - My man!

Mortynight Run  - The carnage on the gear planet, Roy

Look Who's Purging Now - Gratuitous carange with an upbeat soundtrack

The Rickshank Rickdemption - This is Rick at his best/worst and it's amazing.

It was called "Total Rickall." Remember? We watched it together when we were on vacation in the Lost City of Atlantis!

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewers head. There's also Rick's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick's existential catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid 😎

The Bestest: The Ricklantis Mixup is the best episode. All other answers are simply incorrect.

I liked how, in a show known for dark humor, Pickle Rick and Ricklantis Mixup managed to double down on how dark the show could be and still maintain the humor and general feel of the lighter episodes.

It's too dependent on Close Rick-counters for its payoff to be the best episode.

I loved Raising Gazorpazorp. Beth and Jerry fighting over how to raise the kid and then smugly refusing the help when Sorry screws up is hysterical. My weakest is the Purge episode. It just kinda felt lazy.
