(Talking Points Memo)   Trump artwork that went for less than a $100, 20 years ago, is again up for auction and is now expected to sell for $10,000. Basically a doodle that he spent about ten minutes creating. Theoretically it's the Empire State Building   ( talkingpointsmemo.com) divider line

I'm always suspicious when anyone says "a portion" of money will be donated, because why wouldn't you say how much of a portion?

Even knowing who painted that, I still say it isn't bad. If he had been able to continue as an artist, who's to say what kind of world we'd be in now?

(For the record, however, he was an awful human being. What ended up happening to him was better than he deserved.

I'd like to say that looks like simple geometrical shiat I could create, but ...

The auction house says a portion of the proceeds of any sale will benefit National Public Radio.

The sheer schadenfreude in the anger he'll get from his 'art' going to support NPR is enough to make me praise it as worthy.

Any question about how good of a show Preacher is can be answered with this: they manage to make you take pity on Hitler and question whether or not he's actually sincere or just scheming his way out of Hell.

Summoner101: What something is worth and what someone will pay for it are typically two separate things.

Everything is worth what its purchaser will pay for it.

/you read that in Leonard Nimoy's voice
//People of the same trade seldom meet together, even for merriment and diversion, but the conversation ends in a conspiracy against the public
///The bureaucracy is expanding to meet the needs of the expanding bureaucracy
////And on the pedestal these words appear: "My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings! Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!" Nothing beside remains.

Sorry to disappoint... but he'l rejoice in the fact that his doodle will sell for $10,000. You'll have to just settle with a win, win situation... Trump is happy and you're happy that NPR can pedal a few more stories.

I'm unfamiliar with that one. About 35 years ago I read this thing

...which is supposed to be the work of an alternate-history version of Hitler who ended up as a pulp fiction author. I remember enjoying it, reading it while I was a young person.

Ahh, Maddox. Last I saw a year ago, he was keeping up with his mildly amusing rants. Nothing close to the kids' bad artwork, but still somewhat entertaining.

Going to add that to my reading list. I found the one above while making some weird shiat on amazon page on my clickbait site i do as a hobby. I also found a paint bucket that you can poop in, i am very proud of that find.

Well, I would think the honest people were covering whatever costs they had first, then whatever was left would go to charity.

But that's my naive optimism at work.

My new contact is finding a person that can draw decent pictures in under a minute, attributing the artistry to Donald Trump, and selling them in eBay--you know Trump isn't going to say it's fake if it's good work.

Donald bought it himself with money from one of his charities.
