If hypocrisy was a crime all politicians and preachers would be behind bars.

And not the drinkin' kind.

Kushner and many others had voter registration fraud going on, too.

But seriously:

mjjt: It won't change anyone's minds.

One could claim that it is about handling of classified information but given how often the "33,000 missing emails" trope is laid out compared to the 2+ million wiped by the W administration, that really doesn't matter either.  Nobody cares; in fact the best evidence that nobody cares about anything other than brand is that Trump is still campaigning against Hillary, nine months into his presidency.  And his supporters eat. that. sh*t. up.

So, young Kush: enjoy the consequence-free Trump train while it lasts.  Mueller might curtail it eventually but, you know, f*ck it.

The people who 'fanatically support' our troops but voted for a draft dodger who made fun of a POWs military record and are now joining him to denounce football players who make our troops sad... those guys are a bunch of hypocrites? So shocking!

Scratch the surface of the GOP and all you find is blatant hypocrisy.

Sorry, she was still wanting to be presidenting while female, so all penalties apply.  Any foul by Alabama (roll tide!) GOP don't actually count because cheating for their side is legal, perception of cheating by anybody else is killing.
R vs the world.  If you know any conservatives that will admit they are wrong, I'd love to hear about them, because none of the ones I know admit to anything.

It would have been hypocrisy had Kushner been using a private server to keep his emails from prying eyes instead of using a private account on government servers which is what he did.

Again, it's not hypocrisy when you believe you should be allowed to play by different rules than everyone else.

If you want to know where the right is on this issue, read Dennis Prager. He's a pious member of the conservative intelligentsia and he believes liberalism must be stopped by any means necessary, laws, ethics, and morals be damned. He and many others like him believe we are currently in the middle of an honest-to-God civil war, and there are no rules in war. Liberalism must be destroyed or America will die. They're insane.

Of course the biggest difference is Kushner used private emails to actually commit crimes.

The GOP could set up servers in St. Petersburg, make the domain name Iheartputin.com, and make BBC gay porn in their spare time and they'd still win Nebraska and Missouri by 20%

Liberals see rules as a code that everyone agrees to follow. Authoritarians see rules as chains to be put upon others.

I changed my mind (at least to some degree).

I used to think that if Hillary was merely "extremely careless" on this, then it's a pass for future crooks/incompetence. But then I changed my mind. Hillary is history. We have to think about the future.

Now that it's the "Republicans Turn" and iff they broke / are breaking the law, then they need to pay. And pay dearly.

They should know better.

Since when have they cared about being hypocrites?
It never hurts them because their base is composed of disingenuous morons.

" Questions surrounding administration staff just do not become voting issues in congressional races. ... " he said, adding, "Those who chanted 'lock her up' may care the least." "

See?

That's the mainstream viewpoint on FOX and therefore the one held by the president as well. At some point liberals should probably realize ignoring a war doesn't keep it from being waged.

And it's thoughts like that which makes assholes like this get into power and continue these atrocities.

You give government way too much credit if you've let it beat you down like this that any revelation of wrongdoing makes you think "oh this STILL won't make any difference" and just makes you walk away.

You give the opposition way too much credit if you've become so cynical that you cannot trust any sort of good news, or have it twisted so any good feelings about it are stripped away.

Stop validating the opinions of assholes.  Think for yourself.

I read Prager's op-eds in the LA Times when I lived in SoCal. Even way back then, in the 80s, one could easily see that his opinions are devoid of facts, but are just plain conservative ideology with a touch of proper grammar.

Another idjit of that era was Joseph Sobran, who also published a column in the LA Times. Sobran passed away in 2010. Prager's still running his mouth. I ache when I see someone post a Prager U video clip. It's like shouting to the world, "I'm An Idiot!"

Barring extremely damaging revelations from the emails, Heye said he doubted there would be hugely negative political repercussions for congressional Republicans.

From the NYTimes: Most of Mr. Trump's aides used popular commercial email services like Gmail. Mr. Kushner created a domain, IJKFamily.com, in December to host his family's personal email. That domain was hosted by GoDaddy on a server in Arizona, records show.

So, actually, NOT government servers.
