Oh look, the tool's riding the "if we just let insurance companies screw people across state lines everything will be okay" line.

I will be very curious to see exactly how much of what he puts in his EO is actually legal and doable based on current laws.  Which he can't just hand wave away.

So the tool who set up his own professional accrediting association so he could annoint himself an eye doctor is now going to provide roughly the same oversight to health insurers.

Now to be included in your group...in lieu of cardiologists:

The basic idea is that insurers would be able to sell policies in multiple states but only have to adhere to the regulations of their home state.

Enjoy your race to the bottom if this is successful.

Cool. Cool cool cool.

He doesn't seem to understand that lying with fragments of the truth can't really work when you're president. For an average person, taking partially true things and using them to excuse plausibly related problems can work great. You didn't do your homework, and you did technically attend a funeral that night, so, be vague and let your teacher assume it was a more elaborate commitment than it really was. Proof that you did go to the funeral is enough, most teachers won't grill you any further because that's insensitive as fark. Etc.

.. But people kind of keep track of senators and half the country was monitoring this healthcare bill. So you can't just vaguely take the fact that a guy had to go to the hospital and pretend that was the only snag. Literally anyone can fact check that with a spare half an hour.

2017-09-28 01:50:19 AM
It's questionable whetherTrump could just wipe away state insurance rules with the stroke of a pen, experts say. Health insurance is regulated on the state level, according to federal law.

This is CNN's polite way of saying "you can't farking do that, you chucklefark".

He was on Morning Joe this morning (technically, yesterday morning, whatever) spewing this BS, and I got the distinct impression that he had no idea what he was talking about and that trump wasn't exactly on board with this idiotic "plan." I don't see this attempt getting very far. Even if trump does manage to sign something, the courts will be ready to slap it down before any harm can be done.

I got a death threat from a local trumper because I asked him why he was so over the top insanely angry over an activist burning a nazi flag.  if he wasn't a nazi, then why all the fuss?

never did get an answer.  I can only conclude that, for some trumpers, rage is the entire goal.  they just wanna hate f*ck the world until it stops moving.

Thing is, this EO bs is just to feed his ego. A bunch of people stand around him in awe clapping and fawning over the act of signing a piece of paper. And he really doesn't care if the courts strike it down or not. Nobody ever hears about the aftermath.

nobody seems to be stopping him either tho.  the GOP is still vaguely backing everything trump does, or at least not stopping him which amounts to the same thing.

so trump's going to issue a f*ckton of bogus executive orders, which will result in immediate court cases to stop and/or overturn trump's stupidity.  trump will get angry, double down, then change the subject to something ELSE offensive, then come BACK to the illegal EOs he signed and blame it all on Obama, lose his court case, get MORE angry, blame Obama and Hillary again, and go looking for another twitter rampage/slap fight and the cycle repeats.
