The deep fried ones or the chummys with the fish laid on top. But, as long as there is a lot of sake, I'll eat just about any of them.

Salmon and tuna are by far what I eat the most. This is just because most of the grab n go sushi places I frequent by my office only carry that.

If I'm going to have a sit down restaurant sushi meal I quite like gyu, which is raw beef. I also like squid, octopus, eel, and tuna belly.

MrBallou: Ahi when I'm feeling like a purist

I'm always feeling like a purist.  Although the occasional volcano roll is nice.

No thanks.  I'll just order a pizza.

Anything with eel and eel sauce, but I try to eat more of the tuna or cucumber rolls because they are healthier options.

I will eat about anything. But there are a few I just don't have a taste for. Anything with tempura on it is a pass, don't like the texture. Philadelphia roll is also a no, the cream cheese doesn't taste right. Also the one with roe on top is hit or miss. The mouthfeel is really weird.

Salmon, Tuna, Eel, or Octopus.  And I'll always order Inari if the place serves it.

Fried river eel.

Them bottom feeders is savory, especially with that sweet smoky sauce on them. Sometimes they are still warm from the pan, but I prefer them chilled, like chilled ham.

The place where I used to buy Sushi served Canadian eel, not Chinese, so there was way less heavy metals and crap in them.

Yum! Yum! Yum!

My least favourite is fake Bluefin Tuna (which is dyed and bland) followed by real Bluefin tuna (which is mighty expensive and not sustainably fished.

Lobster sushi is always made with frozen or canned lobster. Not good. Shrimp is probably farmed and is always bland but I like it anyway, although I would prefer Alaskan to farmed.

i love variety so I am willing to try many of the more authentic and exotic kinds but not all of them, of course.

Unagi. My go-tos are usually tuna, salmon, squid, and unagi, but unagi is my favorite.

The whole point of sushi is variety.  Just order omakaze and trust the chef.

Two thumbs up for both of those.  Just be careful not to stab your throat with the fried shrimp antennae.

Uuuuuniiiiiiii. Loves me some rich, gooshy sea urchin roe. Followed by, in order more or less: Salmon. Eel. Tuna. Shrimp tempura. GOOD California Roll, not that grocery store crap.

One of the best ways to have All Of The Above (except uni) is Hwe Dup Bap (Korean Sushi Bowl). It's basically a sashimi salad with a kickass Sriracha dressing. Almost always generously sized and  with sticky rice, miso soup and hot tea usually included...an amazingly tasty bargain (around 10 bucks). Yummm.

Sea chicken gunkan (seriously, its a thing at my local in Chiba: tuna salad in a gunkan).
Aburi chu toro nigiri (seared semi fatty tuna)

You and my wife. I have no idea what the attraction is.

Every year we go to Hawaii and every year it's "I gotta get some spam musubi before we leave". Thank god they sell it at ABC Mart and I can tick that off the list of "must dos" the first day.

Deep fried.

fark now I want sushi bad.

leave off the rice underneath..I won't eat it..just give me the raw fish please. Maguro or Ahi tuna or salmon is my favorite.

anything with a kick is good, too..like a spicy tuny roll..

don't care much for cream cheese in sushi..seems just too 'budgetish' for my taste..sushi is a treat, and I can eat the cheap stuff at home, but that's just me.

Friday..I will eat sushi friday. Could have probably last Friday, if I could have left the house. oh well. I get paid Friday and will keep my fingers crossed I can leave the house that day cus I got stuff to do then. I wish they delivered sushi lke they do pizza...

My local sushi joint usually has a sashimi variant of all their dishes.  Sashimi's superior, obviously.
