Never really liked orange juice.

It's better than that clarified apple juice they sell that look and tastes like diabetic piss, but real apple juice is cider.

Ain't no way in hell anyone's passin' up a cider for orange juice.

If I produced a product that was experiencing less interest and was abjectly prone to stronger, inevitable storms, I'd come up with a plan. I'm not sure what the plan would entail, but I know I'd need a plan other than government subsidies. I would probably set aside a few acres to experiment with other crops and hurricane resistant varieties.

One of America's greatest qualities is our ability to adapt and innovate. If you want to just keep things as they are, you are not exhibiting our best. I'm looking at you, coal industry.

Short of growing the trees inside of giant geodesic dome green houses made out of hurricane glass I don't think there's such a thing as a hurricane-resistant crop.

I would. I'm not a fan of the anaphylaxis I'd get from it.

That said, who says my vodak isn't already cheaper than OJ? I'm a farging cheap bastige who buys Popov. Popov is...well... "It tastes like equal parts nail polish and shame. Frost are a bigger issue than hurricanes.  Florida is warm, but Cuba would be a better climate for oranges.

A long long time ago (1965), I used to drink this stuff on my high school front lawn.  I used Old Grand Dad  instead of water though.  I got an absolutely amazingly high mark on my History reagents exam with it to help relax me.

You know what?

Before the Phrama Bro types jacked the price all to hell, a big 'ol cup of autumn cider would be WORTH having to burn an epipen.

Life is fleeting and death is certain, so you have to take great risks in order to achieve great rewards.

Iceberg was a tasty cheap one. I use Russian standard now, because I like the taste of rubbing alcohol apparently.

Well that brings up bad memories of college.  Or good if one thinks of the fact I got laid a couple times thanks to Comrade Popov.

But really the fumes from Popov are reminiscent of being at the gasoline pump.  Unless you truly are an alcoholic or are on welfare, no self respecting adult should drink Popov.

Slight clarification, apple cider is pressed on the skin.  Apple juice is pressed off the skin.

So you can have clear apple juice and it still be "real", but you're right - it has no where near the flavor or body of the cider.

/Has a batch of apple wine going, you have to juice the apples to get a clear wine
//If not, you just get a really boozy, cloudy cider. NTTAWWT and all

Thingster: Slight clarification, apple cider is pressed on the skin.

Technically, apple juice is soft regardless of how it was pressed and apple cider is alcohol regardless of how it was pressed.

But yes, I was talking about the American soft cider from the roadsides of Pennsylvania back in the halcyon days of yore before they were required by law to pasteurize it.

The natural yeasty beasties and such would already be hard at work turning it into real cider, and that gave it a unique flavor despite it still being a soft drink for a few days.
