Mind you if Al Green wants to call for Trumps impeachment regularly until Trump is gone, I'm fine with that

Has impeaching Trump become the new ACA?

Can Green get over... what was the last count, 64 rejected bills?

You mean the possibility of Trump facing criminal charges and NOT having the protection of the Presidency?

/not going to happen, but I know I'd prefer he gets charged AFTER leaving the Presidency.

I think he should just file a new one every Monday. There is bound to be sufficient reason...

And articles of impeachment have also been separately filed before now.

I'm glad they're keeping the pressure up, but nothing happens until GOP polls of Trump support change.

It does exist... It's the same timeline in which Ivanka Putin is Czar of the Russo-American Enclave.

Green is tired of Trump being on the phone at three o'clock in the morning, talkin' bout how he can make it right.

He definitely hit a nerve. It's crazy how he could slam and discredit every facet of civilization but then he gets around to football and people wake up. Baby jebus riding a parakeet

Saiga410: Has impeaching Trump become the new ACA?

Let's hope so.

Repeal ACA votes were never about repealing the ACA. We were foolish to think they were.

They were actually a bloody flag, waved around in order to gain the GOP control of Congress and the White House. And guess what?

It worked.

2017-09-26 03:15:25 PM
How about waiting until there's concrete evidence against him before impeaching?  This just makes Green and anyone who pushes this look foolish.  Yes, Trump is shiatting all over the integrity of the office, but I don't want America going ho hum when it's time to go after Trump for major league corruption because they've watched countless failed attempts to impeach him for spurious reasons.

Can I go to the timeline where Trump gets laughed out of the running before even officially announcing his candidacy? That's the only sane one.

Actually it's a real law that Trump violated.  18 U.S. Code 227.  I think it's like a 10 yard penalty in the NFL.  Real drive killer.

I would too, but yeah I don't have a lot of hope the charges will stick, or be allowed to stick, or that rich people can even be taken into custody these days without getting trapped on first.

I think this irks a bit because it's playing right into the "partisanship" thing with the impeachment.  This is a dumb distraction issue that's already turning on D2S, there's nothing here to properly impeach him on.  So the next time the impeachment thing comes up, which it shall, the Republicans will be like "oh here we go again with another impeachment witch hunt".

So the best case scenario in my mind:
- The Russia Nothingburger gets served, with extra bacon and two types of cheese.
- THEN the god damn Dems can start firing off the impeachment stuff with teeth.
- Trump leaves office in utter disgrace one way or another, maybe not charged but clearly painted forevermore as the traitor president.  My bet is on a Nixonesque ragequit with a seig heil instead of victory fingers.
- Everybody's worried about Pence but he's already staplegunned to this Nazi so he gets an automatic lame-duck run if he's even the president by the time the dust settles.
- 2018 is a god damned massacre for the Republican space cowboys.  I know it's the in thing to have little to no faith in the voting public but this year has been very... engaging.
- In a perfect crescendo we'd end up with a majority Democratic congress, a Whitehouse up for grabs by some TALENTED new blood.  Yertle out, Blanche out, Liftbro out, MAYBE have some of the few sane Republicans tooling around trying to fix things.

And that's how single-payer happens.

I have a (conspiracy) theory that New Coke was put out to hide the fact that they switched from sugar to corn syrup in Coke Classic.

Let's see... There's the business deals with Russians. There's the business deals with the Chinese. There's the admitted obstruction of justice in firing the FBI chief to stop the Russia investigation. There's the admitted witness tampering with the tweets at Comey to influence his testimony to congress.

Ok, done waiting.
