The only positive here is that Moore is such a toxic, unhinged crackpot that it opens the possibility that the Democrats can pick up a seat.

R. Kelly?  I thought Trump supported Strange.

2017-09-26 09:49:18 AM
So does your POTUS.

"If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks," Mr. Trump said, as the crowd began to boo. He quickly added: "Although the Second Amendment people - maybe there is, I don't know."

Of course, it's unclear if Roy Moore shares Trump's belief in the legality and usefulness of having your political opponents murdered.

We're talking about a guy who was removed from the bench and then re-elected to that same position only to be removed again.

This is the part of the country where democrat means "take are guns and mandatory abortions." Those are the two issues that a plurality of single-issue voters embrace. So I doubt any democrat is going to get that seat.

It's actually a win-win for sane Americans, regardless.

win: dems pick up the seat (unlikely though)
win: Moore becomes the new poster boy for the 21st century GOP: racist, sexist, hyper-religious and completely insane.

Now, if that was Trump, he would have run outside the rally hall and shot the first person he ran across, just to get his point across.

Elected officials who have strong beliefs in imaginary deities should not be allowed to handle firearms.
These right wing gun nuts still think they're living in an old Gunsmoke episode.

So nothing wrong happened.  Is a campaign rally a demonstration?  And a campaign rally private or public?  And the worst if both hold true would be for the police to ask him to remove the gun from the area, only in non compliance would it be chargeable.

I think him brandishing is wrong and stoopid but that law doesnt have the teeth.

Luther Strange needs to come to his next rally with an AR-15.  That's not a gun... this, pew pew pew, is a gun.

And then it should just continue to escalate, if they can both appear at their next debate with live grenades, pull the pin, but hold the lever throughout the debate.  I think that would be really good for this country.  Why can't we walk around with live grenades?  I thought this was America.

Brandishing a gun is not illegal withing certain contexts.  On private property for one.  But in this case Moore wasnt doing anything threatening so lets call it open display which I just do not think you should do in polite society.  I actually have openly held a gun in front of a cop, they came to investigate WW3... nope just having a fun time target shooting on a buddy's property.  No bonus points for me, nobody is willing to invest in me what they did to JFK.

B-b-but 2nd amendment. No gun areas are easy pickings for criminals. You're denying the rights of good guys with guns. Open carry. And all the other talking points of the NRA.
