...and they were booed because easily-led Trump morons were told to boo them. It's not like they thought for themselves, "sure, they're showing solidarity with other NFL players and owners, but doing so before the national anthem so as not to indicate disrespect for it, but Trump told me to boo, so I'm booing."

"LOOK AT ME, DAMIEN! I'M BOOING! IT'S ALL FOR YOU, DAMIEN!"

Seriously, though, we're at the "Doctor Who beats The Silence" levels of stupidity here - can we create a reasonably believable facsimile of Donald Trump, who then tells his followers that he's done with the GOP "sons of biatches" and has joined the Democratic Party?

2017-09-25 11:02:01 PM
Or, heck, stick with the script and catch Trump's doppleganger on video, saying "you should all boo me on sight?"

Wait, wait, wait...I was told by multiple morons that Jerry Jones gave an internal speech in which any player that protested the anthem by kneeling would be shiatcanned.

They all knelt BEFORE the anthem, and then stood for the catterwallin', excuse me, the person singing the natl. anthem.

You laugh, but Trumpers on Twitter are saying they're done with the Cowboys now. Of course it was never about kneeling during the anthem anyway, it's always been about what they're protesting. Remember people didn't even notice Kaepernick protesting at first.

Yes. But, of course, there was some fake bullsh*t circling around *last year* when this all started that Jones would fire any player and/or coach that protested. It was debunked then, of course, but it didn't stop that same pitiful, debunked horseshiat from spreading again this weekend.

Nobody has learned, or paid attention to, a single goddamn f*cking thing.

Nothing would bring the season to a grinding halt like litigation over breach of multimillion-dollar player contracts.

Worthless, pandering "gesture" by the Cowboys. A fake protest in an attempt to make the issue go away, which by the way, was already fading until Trump opened his mouth Friday night. Fark Jerry Jones and spineless Jason Garrett.

I've already seen one black female athlete who did that at a high school. I didn't get to read the entire article, though.

Good. This is a great civics lesson. Peaceful protests are protected by 1A.

It's funny, cops would act as soldiers but I'm certain dereliction of duty is punished quite severely in the military. Weird how that all works out...

Odds on the Tangerine Tyrant demanding the expulsion of students kneeling? Anyone?

2017-09-26 12:34:32 AM
The only question that remains: Why would anybody boo that?

Because the shallow end of the gene pool thinks that the darkies are there to run around for their amusement, not draw attention to inconvenient truths.

Scared? They should be scared of cops who wont do their jobs when their fee fees get hurt, not football players.

This is ab absolutely hysterical reaction, if true. Drop the pearls and coach some kids.

Cagey B: Wow, even Jerruh got into the act. That's some cats and dogs living together shiat.

Jerry's primary goal in life is supporting Jerry Jones, not being a mouthpiece for right wing derp. It may be a good guess that he's not a fan of his players kneeling, but he's not about to tank the Cowboys to win some kudos with the right wing radio crowd. NFL owners may be on the right politically, but they didn't let Limbaugh in the ownership group a few years back and they know if they picked players solely on supporting right wing claptrap, that's a recipe for multiple 0-16 seasons.

Yeah but that's different because they were protesting against behavior they don't like. Totally different. They're the real americans.

I seriously doubt cops will bail out of a detail protecting kids over this.

If they do, it pretty much confirms the absolute worst things believed by the most extreme of their critics.

I love the morons that were booing during the national anthem yesterday at players who were kneeling. The sacred national anthem in which you should remain silent and enjoy the solemnity of the moment. They chose to boo players who were actually being quiet during the holy singing of the national anthem.

Hypocritical dummies.

ImOscar: "I feel sorry for the poor guy who is going to buy the Dallas Cowboys," Trump said. "It's a no-win situation for him, because if he wins, well, so what, they've won through the years, and if he loses, which seems likely because they're having troubles, he'll be known to the world as a loser."

Jeez, can you imagine the level of owner who thinks he can run a football team better than the pros level of ineptitude Trump would have brought to an NFL team? He would have made Al Davis look like a genius and the modern Browns look down right successful.

The NFL voluntarily ended their tax exemption status two years ago.

I think they did it because they didn't want to continue to let the IRS look through everything every year.

They could probably conceivably "fire" the players, but they'd only be "fired" in the sense that they wouldn't be allowed to come to work, but they WOULD still get paid.  So basically the best kind of "fired" ever.

2017-09-26 12:53:19 AM
But remember "descent is the highest form of patriotic."  Bonus from Conservapedia:

Patriotic dissent is the idea that a citizen of a republic has the right and the civic duty to not follow the crowd on matters political, but rather to stand up and try to do what's best for the country, even if it's unpopular, difficult, or labeled "unpatriotic."

But I guess that's only if you're protesting the government "taking" your guns or legalizing gay marriage.
