They just got their far-right arse into the Parliament after many years, so yes that would be considered a victory.

There's a lot of pearl-clutching going on that they made it into the Bundestag, and I can't say I'm pleased with the developments personally (check my profile to see where I live), but Germany has survived having neo-Nazi parties in the state parliaments off and on over the last few decades and I'm sure they'll survive this, too.

Besides, they're already disintegrating as a coherent movement before they even get started.

At the very least, with the Bundestag sessions televised, we should get to see some of the zaniest Nazi hijinks on TV since Hogan's Heroes.

Yeah, that was my first thought. My second is that there are Goldman folks in the white supremacist Trump administration, so it's clear to everyone but subs that they're not a leftist front organization.

This... wasn't Mnuchin with Goldman Sachs?

Who in the hell thought they were helping the 'lefties'? Goldman-Sachs is literally a third state at this point operating on their own agenda and using the US government as a tool.

What? Why in God's name would anyone think GS is in the bag for lefties? That's absurd on its face.

Back to to the topic: employment at Goldman-Sachs has been used as a revolving door into the true policy making which effects themselves.  Anyone else see an issue?

Damn, sorry to hear that.

But yeah, hopefully the far right starts to receding fast, because this is looking awful strange.

Agreed.  Goldman Sachs doesn't pay taxes to countries.  Countries pay taxes to Goldman Sachs.

At least GS isn't actively evil.  They've been known to get legislation passed or blocked to help themselves, but they don't piss over poor and middle class people for entertainment like a lot of powerful people/countries do.

2017-09-25 08:34:54 PM
Now now, people it isn't complicated. Subby thinks that GS is leftist because it employs many Jews. And all fascists know that Jews are the enemies of the Right.

So Russia gets a seat in what serves as German Parliament.  This isn't shocking.  Here they won a Presidency.

The Homer Tax: Isn't like half the Trump Admin former Goldman execs?

This Party won their seats by fostering anti-Islamic sentiment.  Today it was revealed by the Washington Post that those adds Facebook sold to Russia were specifically and deliberately contrived to evoke Anti-Black and Anti-Islamic Sentiment.

In both cases where we find Russian Interference, we find Goldman Sachs.  It's time we take a closer look, because these motherfarkers are in cahoots with Putin to take down the Western World.  My guess is that Goldman Sachs took a look at its past activities and decided that if Uncle Sam ever cracked open their books they'd be going to prison for life.  So they switched sides.

farking traitors.

By leftie, I assume Subby means the GS employees who left to form the Trump administration. Although sabbatical is prolly more accurate.

Part of the GOP line in 2016 was that Hillary represented Wall Street while Trump fights "The Establishment".

A significant portion of the people of the land, the common clay, believe this.

Madame Queasy, wife of Ted Cruz, was a potentate at Goldman.

Just as many Germans believe an openly lesbian woman is anti-gay.  And that she is partnered with a foreigner but is anti-immigration.  Or that she was a member of the global elite, yet is against globalism.  I will say this in her defense, she is both smarter and has a deeper knowledge of stuff than #45, those that voted for her and her party?  Nein.

There just aren't enough poor brown Goldman Sachs VPs.  If there were, racism would no longer exist.  GS is the gateway to normal when it comes to democracies.

People do things for all sorts of reasons.  GS doesn't care that much about your background but they hire and reward people who make the most money for the firm, as long as they follow the law, or at leas to where their attorneys and lobbyists can mount a reasonable defense.  The AfD lady was part of the GS team that sold CDOs that they knew were worthless, marketed them as ultra-safe high yield investments and yet took out credit default swaps on those CDOs because they knew they would fail.  She has zero credibility (along with her absurdly obvious hypocrisy).  Just because a rich person makes money doesn't mean they make great politicians.

Wait.  Who thought that?  You mean because they supported a right-of-center Democrat who would have stabilized the economy and made them even richer, as opposed to a racist nutbag who will eventually crash the banking system by removing regulations like his two Republican predecessors?
