Moore's rally afterward was a who's-who of American Moranism.

"I think God is on both of our sides, I think he is on the president's side. One thing I do know - the president is on my side."

I'm sorry, but if you elect either of these idiots you lose your right to be offended when I call Alabama an American embarrassment.

I drove home through L.A.* yesterday. I saw very few campaign signs, but the three or four I did see were all Roy Moore. I was actually surprised I didn't see more obvious signs of an ongoing campaign.

Debates like this are the worst. Where both players take the same side, but go ahead and argue about it anyway.

By now, you'd think politicians wouldn't hitch their wagons to an obviously sinking ship. That's a sure way to go down in flames.

I'm warming up to a Senator Moore, peacher extraordinaire to the Senate. He'll have so many friends. He'll make theocracy great again and give that Pence guy a long list of how he is not really good enough and really needs to mend his ways.

BTW everyone, if you have not seen this, its absolutely mind blowing.

The Brainwashing of My Dad (2015)

Jen Senko, a documentary filmmaker, looks at the rise of right-wing media through the lens of her WWII vet father who changed from a life-long, nonpolitical Democrat to an angry, right-wing fanatic after his discovery of talk radio on a lengthened commute to work. In trying to understand how this happened, she not only finds this to be a phenomenon, but also uncovers some of the forces behind it: a plan by Roger Ailes under Nixon to create a media for the GOP; the Lewis Powell Memo, urging business leaders to influence institutions of public opinion - especially the universities - the media and the courts; and under Reagan, the dismantling of the Fairness Doctrine - all of which helped to change the entire country's direction and culture, misinformed millions, divided families and even the country itself.

Both parties are doomed. McConnell may be thinking "if we can just" but it won't matter. He thought he could control the President and their legislative agenda. He thought wrong.

I heard a statistic from the Alabama Secretary of State that only around 10% of registered voters participated in the primary vote that resulted in these two. The simple fact is, unless it's a presidential election, the voters here don't care.

For what it's worth, I've seen more Doug Jones placards in people's yards in the Huntsville area than any other candidate. Maybe there's hope....

It obviously wasn't as popular as The Dark Knight, but I prefer a similar scene from one episode of The Shield.

Two gang leaders are feuding, so Vic and the rest of the Strike Team lock them in a shipping container overnight to settle their differences.  They're surprised and horrified when they let them out the next morning and find that only one of them survived.
