2004-05-28 03:15:37 PM
The Homeland Security Department doesn't listen to the same little voices that Ashcroft hears.

2004-05-28 03:15:41 PM

2004-05-28 03:17:10 PM
Well, this means we need better communication between departments.

2004-05-28 03:17:41 PM
Didn't also lose an election to a dead man.

2004-05-28 03:17:48 PM
The way i read it, it's not that he did not tell them about the threat, they just did not expect him warn the general public.

2004-05-28 03:17:51 PM
It's like he gave them a pop quiz. See who's been paying attention.

2004-05-28 03:18:19 PM
I'm so sick of this WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!! shiat, yet the next day they're all, "nah it's cool"

2004-05-28 03:18:27 PM
Good thing we added another layer of bureacracy to make communication easier. Maybe we need another agency to gather and centralized all the press releases?

/sarcasm, as if you couldn't tell

2004-05-28 03:19:03 PM
Quick show of hands here...
Who actually likes Ashcroft?

2004-05-28 03:19:08 PM
Sounds like Tom Ridge wasn't in on the Roveian disinformation campaign. It's gonna be interesting to see what they come up with when the approval rating sinks under 40%...

/gettin the foil ready

Amazed that people are surprised at things that happen in a Fascist government.

Funny, I was doing a Google search for "Ashcroft fascist", and this is what came up Verrrry interestink.

2004-05-28 03:24:19 PM
Ridge's membership dues for the Presidential Prayer Team must still have been in the mail...
Or this is payback for not attending Ashcroft's most recent anointment...

2004-05-28 03:24:26 PM
This hours Bush/GOP bashing article brought to you by democraticunderground.com

2004-05-28 03:26:32 PM
Does anyone have a link from another source on this? I am inclined to believe, but I want to see some credible sources on this one.

2004-05-28 03:26:45 PM
the weird thing is that i have become so numb to the collective bs spewing from this administration that this barely registers on my outrage meter.

only a couple of months left and we can get back to resuming our lives.

2004-05-28 03:26:56 PM
Asscroft = Asshole

2004-05-28 03:27:08 PM

I thought because of all how important 911 was it changed so many things in the government like communication. No it didn't it just made the sheep of america cry for more stupid rules that don't in the slightest protect you. I don't feel more or less secure.

2004-05-28 03:28:57 PM
Ashcroft is doing a great job you liberal, pinko, commie, fags! He locked up that terrorist, Tommy Chong!

2004-05-28 03:29:07 PM
We got the info before the Department of Homeland Security???? We're spending how much on this department, and they are surprised about this? I truly don't know what to say...

Obviously Sophistimucated, the Liberal Media is spreading lies in an attempt to manipulate public opinion about these threats and this Administration. There was no real threat, and that's why the Homeland Security folks knew nothing about it. Damn hippie yellow journalist commie tree-hugger bastards. They'll be the deaths of us all.

2004-05-28 03:29:11 PM
Even if you completely ignore thier policies, this administration is run by a bunch of clowns. This, the prision abuse scandal, the FBI getting that Oregon's lawyer's fingerprints mixed up with the Spanish train bombers (and thinking his son's Spanish homework were "Spanish documents" related to the case-and confiscating them). It's like a freak show-you never know what type of insane thing will happen next.

2004-05-28 03:29:24 PM
A cynic might think they're just saying it to boost their chances in the election...

2004-05-28 03:29:31 PM
What, we have here, is failure to communicate.

2004-05-28 03:29:57 PM
You mean to tell me that Ashcroft would purposefully prune the truth to manupilate the media and rally support for his president by scaring people? Say it aint so!

/Nothing to see here
/SSDD

2004-05-28 03:30:12 PM
that's because it is a cynical political tactic.

2004-05-28 03:32:46 PM
I have a question: Why is Iraq mentioned NO WHERE on the Bush campaign's web page? You know, all that good news they keep claiming is out there, you'd think they'd find room to put it on their website.
