"The Iranian government masks a corrupt dictatorship behind a false guise of a democracy," he said.

You mean like Russia?

Sh*t's gotten so bad I've had to inject muscle relaxants in my eyeballs to keep them from spinning backward at 78 RPM.

I always thought the Snow Crash burbclaves were too much of an impossibility because, how in the hell could the USA ever falter for that kind of shiat to happen.

But now? With Trump playing the Zaphod Beeblebrox role and the Republicans using him as cover to try and further their horrid agenda, I can understand how America can falter.

Our country has gone from helping to restore world order in 1945 to Trump saying at the U.N. that it's every country for themselves.

"That we may beat our swords into BIGGER, BADDER, TREMEDOUS swords." Is the saying they use, right?

Maybe like Russia, but maybe like something a little closer to home. Not quite to "dictatorship" yet, but "corrupt" and "false guise of democracy" are pretty much a given.

Indeed.

Does he even know what Iran is like these days, or does he take his intel straight from Info Wars?

Because I know a lot of Persians and they assure me that Iran has its bad points but it is NOT a nightmarish death ridden wasteland as Trump and his cultists seem to imagine.

It never ceases to surprise me that Republicans still can't figure out why we created the UN and the rest of the post-war international order.

This is what you get when the president watches Fox News for his news (classified as an entertainment network since they dont meet the integrity to be a news network.. remember, sued so they can lie on the air)

I have many farkers favorited as idiot republicans..  same as idiot democrats.  I hate partisan politics.  yet when threads come out for how awful Trump really is, i see none of the republican favorites in those threads.  funny how they stay away.

why cant we ALL admit Trump is just the worst thing that has ever been associated to the US? Yeah, Obama was a darker shade of brown (which somehow upset people), but holy farking shiat Donald is beyond incompetent.  i mean on another level of horrible.  damn.

The Kris K Kobach / Koch plan is democracy only for white, straight, evangelicals on the Repuglican voter rolls.  All other votes are null and void.

So that is just part of his speech, and it is actually worse than I had expected. Which is an accomplishment in it's own right.

What a farkwit! This actually painful to be associated with. My apologies world, it wasn't my fault, but I'm guilty by association nationality. Many of us are trying to end it...

I've noticed that the usual suspects in the RWNJ pool have rarely bothered to even do their classic dump and run lately. And when they do it's often so ridiculous, inane, or low energy (sad!) that not only are they not getting bites but people aren't even bothering to acknowledge them with a sarcastic Funny vote.
It does make me wonder if some of the true believers are starting to lose faith. And even the not-trolls-at-all are not finding things funny any more.

Now, I don't want to go on a rant here, but America's foreign policy makes about as much sense as Beowulf having sex with Robert Fulton at the first battle of Antietam. I mean when a neo-conservative defenestrates, it's like Raskolnikov filibuster deoxymonohydroxinate.

Obama did it. Obama is the black guy who mocked him and made the whole room laugh at him. Therefore, it is the worst thing ever.

If we yell at and threaten Iran (and North Korea) enough, they will surely give up the one weapon that will make an American attack pretty much an impossibility! Yeah, that's the ticket!

The only people I know who stillopenly support Trump will also loudly yell about "heritage" or something like that.

When you have to end a sentence with "believe me" you're basically telling every that what you said is a lie.  If you honestly think what you said was the truth you wouldn't have to add that.

Obviously, our president is too stupid to wonder this, but I wonder what in the fark gives us the right to tell the Iranians what kind of weapons they can have?

Republicans biatch about us being the "world's police force" but then yap nonstop about how terrible it would be if Iran had nuclear weapons.

WE nuked another country. We're the only country to have done that. We don't have the high ground here. Honestly, we don't really have the high ground in most areas. The only reason we're not considered in the same league as the Nazis is that we actually chose the side opposite them in WW2. Which I'm sure some people here regret. The Nazis, clearly, didn't go away. They just lost a lot of territory. But their ideas (which, for hundreds of years, were also OUR ideas, essentially) are still here.
