mmm...chewable liquor. can smokable boobies be far behind?
2002-01-11 01:26:59 PM
What's a sake? Is that like a cross between a rake and a steak? I think it is.
2002-01-11 01:29:15 PM
In Korea it's Soju, not Sake.

Chewable liquor, smokable boobies, visual music, socks you can hear when they get old, a car that plays the banjo, easily sperate your tie with your significant Other by using this new sprayable formula that bans them to Dimension X, Chevy's got a lighter smoke! Cleaner people bathe in Coke,

That's not sake, it's shochu (spelled soju in article), a type of grain alcohol that weighs in around 50 proof (25%) and straight, reminiscent of kerosene. I've had it mixed with plum wine and with lemon soda and that's pretty damn good.

Why? Why make chewable booze? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

"We were looking for new ways to consume traditional liquor"

- That excuse can be used for a lot of things.
2002-01-11 01:45:47 PM
it is broke. the stuff tastes like ass.
2002-01-11 01:46:39 PM
Hmm, Gelatin? How is ths different from a Jello Shot?
2002-01-11 01:55:37 PM
they can't even make Kimchi chewable.

i'm very skeptical.

Traditional soju isn't bad... But it's still weak. It's like watered-down vodka. I tried lemon soju the other night... The Korean waitress misunderstood that I wanted just a cup, and brought be an entire pot! (=1 bottle)... Drained the sucker like it was lemonade (tasted like it), and wasn't any worse for the wear. Maybe gelatinous soju will have more kick.... :-)

You and every frat boy in the world buddy
2002-01-11 01:58:05 PM
Sake tastes like watered down gin. Yuck. Miserable hangovers too.

Chewable booze is a GREAT idea. I'd love to get plastered off of Jim Beam gum.
2002-01-11 02:07:46 PM
beer jerky?
2002-01-11 02:08:59 PM
Hmmmmmmm........, getting young girls drunk just got a LOT easier.

"Like a stick of gum, little girl?"
2002-01-11 02:19:06 PM
And how is this different from jello shooters.
2002-01-11 02:52:29 PM
What's the big deal? I invented chewable coffee in the mug on my desk last week.
2002-01-11 03:08:55 PM
mmmmm....sake......and sushi. A match made in heaven. Will their be a campaign to stop chewing and driving?
2002-01-11 03:28:24 PM
I'll stick to gasoline, thanks
2002-01-11 03:35:00 PM
of course, cold sake will taste like shiat.. You have to drink it heated..
2002-01-11 03:41:39 PM
the product is not based on soju or sake. its based on baeksehjoo which almost tastes like plum wine and ginseng.

still it would be nice to be able to chew while i work.
2002-01-11 03:43:32 PM
Didn't they already do the samething with wine? It's called MD20/20.
2002-01-11 03:51:07 PM
Cold sake is wonderful!
2002-01-11 04:19:54 PM
