Man, those Jets whine, don't they? "YOU'RE MAKING ME FEEL BAD ABOUT MY SHIATTY PERFORMANCE - STOP IT-STOP IT-STOP IT!" You can almost hear the foot stomping, can't you?

Huh. I came to comment on how many of them had the right attitude - "I was pissed but they beat the pants off of us".

"We're upset because it seems like he was rubbing it in our face," nose tackle Steve McLendon said. "But he's winning, man. He can do whatever he wants to do."

"It's their house -- they can do whatever they wants -- but as a competitor, as a defender, you don't like to see that type of stuff. It's demoralizing, but we have to bow up and keep fighting."

"When you perform like that, when you beat a team like they did to us, you have to celebrate," he said. "It sucks being on the losing end of it, but that's football. That comes with it.
"You have to take losses like a man. Guys dancing around, you can get mad at them -- you're supposed to. That's football. You don't blame it on unsportsmanlike.
"He fights. He earned every bit of what he did today. I'm not going to take that away from him. Of course, I'm going to be pissed off at him for dancing like that, but that's sports. That's not unsportsmanlike at all."

The only reason it's getting press is because it's Marshawn Lynch. The NFL keeps trying to fine him into compliance, and the only reason you're seeing the statements from the Jets is because they're trying to influence the NFL into fining him again for "unsportsmanlike conduct" or some such.

That's not "the right attitude", that's what a linebacker sounds like when he's concern trolling in the press.

First of all, he's a nose tackle - it said right there.

Second, you're making it sound like the guy came up with this plan to get another player fined - a player, I might add, from a team whom they're probably not going to play again for at least another year - while they were in the shower after playing a miserable game.

The Raiders should be concerned that the Jets scored 20 points on them, despite winning the game. And dancing because you beat the Jets is like being happy that you resisted the urge to eat spoiled food.

Yes, although, I suspect, the player didn't come up with this plan as much as the press did, because, let's face it, Marshawn Lynch getting fined keeps people interested in NFL reporting.

Came here to say this. The second quarter TD was 7 plays, 75 yards, 3:47. That made the score 14-10. Just looking at the game stats, I didn't watch it, it looks as if the Jets had more than one instance of just marching right down field on the Raiders. If McCown is doing that, your defense needs to be ashamed.

Beast Mode in Dance Mode is maybe the best thing ever. And those Jets were real cool about it, unlike how this stupid article (and for some reason, FormlessOne) is trying to portray it.

The Jets are embarrassed because Lynch is dancing on sidelines but not because they:

got blown out.
Are 0-2.
Have very little hope of winning any games.
have no fantasy relevant players on their team.
have 1000-1 odds of winning super bowl.

This is like when the Titans players got upset at Cam Newton dabbing after a touchdown, it came late in the season when the Titans had only won 2 games all season to that point and were desperate to win a game - any game - and losing to somebody dancing in your face was enough to send some guys over the edge.

That said it's week 2 and you're the Jets, get over it.

read the article.  they actually got over it and didnt hate marshawn.  they had to explain that they hated losing but understood it's the cost of competition, the other team being happy.  it was WAY more level headed than i thought.  none of them want him to be fined for misconduct or anything.

There were multiple penalties that sustained those drives, some on what were otherwise third down stops, a few of which were questionable personal fouls. The defense was alright. The final touchdown was after the game was essentially decided.

Since Rex Ryan is gone, it's just not as fun to hate on the Jets anymore.

/funny how Bowles was the next big thing in coaching circles just a couple of years ago and now he's probably going to be fired before season's end
//couldn't hear the music that Lynch was dancing too, but man, he doesn't look to have much rhythm

The Raiders attempted to cap their first touchdown drive with a Lynch touchdown.
But when Carr went to the line of scrimmage, he saw a look that favored a fade route to Crabtree. He yelled the audible for changing out of the Lynch run, "Seattle!," and Crabtree successful reeled in the throw. (The audible name presumably was a reference to the ending of Super Bowl XLIX, which infamously saw the Seahawks unsuccessfully throw at the goal line instead of run Lynch.)

I'm perfectly fine with it. Let Marshawn, and any other Raider, sing and dance as much as they want on the Jumbotron next week...

Because on October 1, their a$$es belong to the DENVER BRONCOS! Let's see how much fun they have then! >:-)

On the one hand, being mad at Marshawn Lynch is silly. It's like being mad at Manny Ramirez back when he was just a super-clutch hitter instead of a busted PED user.

On the other hand, the Jets weren't really complaining.

On the other other hand, this attitude of "winners get to do whatever they want, no criticism allowed" is wayyyyyyy too pervasive in our society.
