Grew up listening to ICP. Aside from the fact that they wear clothes with the same logos and get similar tattoos, there is absolutely nothing about juggalos that warrants designating them a gang. College football fans more closely resemble gangs than juggalos do.

Is there a drug culture associated with the group? I seriously don't know. I'm not saying it's good or bad, just saying that's a big thing for the government. You put drugs and matching tattoos together and bingo bango you got yourself a "Gang".

I'm not sure exactly what classifies as a drug culture. They don't do any more drugs than any other group of people I imagine.

Fan groups at concerts are gonna enjoy elicit substances. Hell that's just a part of the experience, IMO. I just wondered if ICP fans were well known for dealing in any particular drugs at their venues, or if it's just run of the mill concert drug use. Years ago, the Grateful Dead came to my town. We have an awesome music venue in my hometown. Anyway, It was a big news story and our town opened the local park so the fans could camp. The park was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. The fan's trash (and the stuff that was already there) was separated into recyclables. The fine folks that followed the dead were well known for enjoying drugs of all sorts. They were easily identifiable and followed the band around the country. To my knowledge, the deadheads were never declared a "Gang".

I think it's basically a 1%er situation:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juggalo_gangs

The sensible thing would be for the FBI to designate Outlaw Juggalo Gangs the same way they do Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs ... but if they all just call themselves Juggalos I can see how that would be a complication.

Ehh, same here. Toy Box or whatever the song about a left behind toy is one of my favorites. But legally, a gang consist of three or mire people that share an attribute. The law sucks in this case,
But that is all it takes.

Oversimplifying juuuuust a bit there.

[DOJ] Definition of Gangs: (1) an association of three or more individuals; (2) whose members collectively identify themselves by adopting a group identity which they use to create an atmosphere of fear or intimidation frequently by employing one or more of the following: a common name, slogan, identifying sign, symbol, tattoo or other physical marking, style or color of clothing, hairstyle, hand sign or graffiti; (3) the association's purpose, in part, is to engage in criminal activity and the association uses violence or intimidation to further its criminal objectives; (4) its members engage in criminal activity, or acts of juvenile delinquency that if committed by an adult would be crimes; (5) with the intent to enhance or preserve the association's power, reputation, or economic resources; (6) the association may also possess some of the following characteristics: (a) the members employ rules for joining and operating within the association; (b) the members meet on a recurring basis; (c) the association provides physical protection of its members from other criminals and gangs; (d) the association seeks to exercise control over a particular location or region, or it may simply defend its perceived interests against rivals; or (e) the association has an identifiable structure. (7) this definition is not intended to include traditional organized crime groups such as La Cosa Nostra, groups that fall within the Department's definition of "international organized crime," drug trafficking organizations or terrorist organizations.

It's not really amusing when you consider all of the possible civil rights violations that being labeled as such entails. I don't give a shiat about ICPs music, but people who are against the Juggalos are on the wrong side of history. And there's a sentence I never thought I would type.

Would you call them "deplorable"?
Maybe you should protest their gatherings and you can incite them to violence - then the media would give you the high moral ground because you were victimized by the mean men.
Or surround one with your peers and punch him (then tweet about it).
But they're dirty and weird so nobody will blame you for hating them, will they?

Every Juggalo I have ever met have been truly sweet people.

CSB time - I used to segment produce a news/entertainment show, and back in 03 or so we got to interview ICP (ahead of a show, with a ton of their fans around). Of all the people we ever interviewed, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope were the nicest, kindest, most polite people ever.

Of course, they turned the act on when the camera rolled. But just great guys. I wasn't a fan (still don't care much for the music) but they could not have been nicer. I'm glad to have met them.

/Worst was Michael Ironside. Biggest prick I've ever met.
