If only.

I'd rather an administration that didn't make us drink.

Are you sure?  A president threatening to use nukes vs. a drunk president threatening to use nukes.  That latter sounds worse to me.

We would all be blanketed in sweet, sweet radiation. Those left alive,  at least.

The 3am tweets would be more coherent and probably much more amusing than frightening.

Depends on whether he's a mean drunk or merely the annoying "I... I love you, man" drunk.

At least he'd pass out at some point.

I'm guessing Trump would be a mean drunk, so it wouldn't end well.

The rest of them are no doubt abusing their livers on a regular basis already.

LOL don't think he wasn't the first thing I thought of when I saw the headline.

the latter probably gives the armed forces cover to ignore the order and Congress to invoke the 25th.

Huh, and here I was thinking that most of the recent (as in last 9 months) policy decisions 'had' to be because he was drunk.  He wasn't?  Damn

Reminds me of an ancient story about an ad agency in NYC banning assorted execs drinking vodka/gin/clear liquor during lunch.  Scotch/bourbon/rum/etc were all fine but no clear liquor.  Reasoning being - "I'd rather that our clients think that you were drunk rather than stupid when you, as everyone will eventually, do something really dumb..."

We might not be having this conversation, for better or worse. Trump's older brother Fred killed himself with alcohol, a major reason Donald doesn't touch it himself.

I'm more concerned about those diet pills---not to mention the sniffling on debate night nobody ever convincingly explained.

This is the first I've heard of this (his brother).  I'd be shocked to learn he's completely sober.

Hopefully, he'd have drunk himself into an early grave like his brother, and we wouldn't have to put up with this shiat.

Supposedly he's never had a drink. I think his father may have been an alcoholic as well.
