True, but someone like this isn't ever going to realize his actions were wrong.  If it wasn't this it would (will) be something else.

dantheman195: Lucky LaRue: You have to wonder how many tax-paying American parents can't get their kids into schools like this because of the seats taken up by illegal alien students.

Since when did liberals care about Americans? The average tax paying American can go pound sand because they are all "privilege" and white and racists who like Trump. See, that is how it works.

Why should the laws even matter? Hillary flaunted the laws, broke them and she is going around crying that she lost, but is making a ton of money selling a book about herself being a loser. Senator Menendez, the most corrupt politician in the senate, that is a low bar in itself, sadly, will probably get away with his corruption as well. But he will be easily be re-elected in the next cycle. Rule of law no longer applies, unless you are a hard working white tax paying American, then the rule of law will apply. Oh yea, don't forget to report the $800 you made on the side, or we will come after you like a thousand angry gods, ok peon?

seadoo2006: Lucky LaRue: You have to wonder how many tax-paying American parents can't get their kids into schools like this because of the seats taken up by illegal alien students.

The only tax-paying American parents that can't get their kids into schools like this are tax-paying American parents with children that are too stupid to be enrolled in the first place.

It's simple, really. The best student gets the position. If that best student happens to be a Chinese ex-pat that aced their entrance exams, ESL courses, SATs, and ACTs, well, they'll get the position.

If you notice, it's never someone with a 2400 SAT, 36 ACT, and 4.2GPA in all honors/AP courses that portrays themselves as being hurt by admissions processes. It's always the #MAGAbrained embeciles with low-average scores and a middling extracurricular life complaining how Shaniqua got in and he didn't.

Moral of the story: Don't be dumb. Maybe you won't have issues getting into the schools you want to get into.

Except of course when they try to me quotas and pass over white students for someone of color. You know for diversity. Same as in job markets.

Not to change the subject, but 2400 SAT? I'm assuming something changed.

There's an essay component now.

You get 800 for filling in your name, then there's the 800 math part and 800 verbal part.
Coincidentally, University of Phoenix gives automatic acceptance to an 800 SAT.

The name is prefilled.

It's weird that everybody wants that.  They pay money for it and everything.

It's amazing.  I went through college as a mostly conservative Republican.  Graduated about a decade ago.  It wasn't until Trump ran for President that the indoctrination from college finally kicked in.

Does that even happen? I mean outside the really expensive and or narrow majors.  Our liberal arts colleges in particular seem happy to let anyone bury themselves in debt for an education that won't really help in the end.  Even at that you can find a couple places to go unless you do really badly on act/sat in which case you're better off not going to college anyway.  Of all the immigration issues this one is about -11 on the 0 to 10 scale of things I wonder/worry about.

That's what these whiny white males do all the time... it's never because they don't measure up, that they didn't work hard enough or that they were dumber than a bag of rusty hammers. It's always someone else's fault that these inbreds didn't get the job or didn't get the scholarship or weren't admitted to a school or whatever the cause for their failures in life. They wallow in the cesspool of their own stupidity, reinforced by a conservative media that tells them exactly who to hate for their farked up lives, morphing into lifelong republicans.

Farking sad.

Aidan: FTFA: "this illegal at my school"

I'm not normally given to finding someone in real life and cockpunching them for something they said online, but young Taylor desperately needs a cockpunch.

The University board responsible deserves a course of cockpunches as well for suggesting that young Taylor's hateful statement was merely "a recommendation about how to respond to [Garcia's] undocumented status".

On top of that, the point of DACA was to give them Visas as long as they were productive members of society.  So as of right now, and when this went down, she is here legally for the time being

So this douchenozzle's base argument is invalid.

not so CSB:
my BIL got into University of Chicago's phd program because he has some personal relationships where he did his masters who knew how to leverage the fact he's Mexican. It's been pretty hard on him actually because he feels he it didn't really earn it which is a big big freakin deal to him. He's pretty naive having spent his entire adult life in academia. I told him "look, you better play every advantage you have and you better create advantages for yourself you don't already have, otherwise, in the real world, your arse is in a van down the river" but he's still pretty hard on himself.

The whole thing makes me conflicted, see affirmative action as just another form of discrimination. I'd hate to be the administrator that has to tell some kid "hey look, you meet every academic and financial requirement to attend this school but you're just the wrong color". On the other hand, if you have an advantage over the next guy/gal then you better.farking.use.it.

Indoctrination by the far left starts in kindergarten. To be totally safe, you should homeschool your kids. And, of course, the only textbook you need is the Holy Bible. Daily Bible readings and beatings will make your chirren grow up to be red blooded mericun conservative patriots.

If you are a 2400SAT, 36ACT, with all honors and APs on your transcript and a diverse extracurricular life, you will not be passed over for "diversity" students. Most state schools will give you a full tuition scholarship just for acing one of the standardized tests.

Again, find me someone that thinks they were "passed over" as a white student with an impeccable academic record and I might buy that argument, but it's always some middling student with with a victim, never-my-fault personality that ends up shouting that some "colored" took their spot.

Sorry, no. If you're smart, you get in. Period. If you're a 75th percentiler, you might have some issues. Don't be a 75th percentiler, don't get mad when someone gets placed ahead of you.

My friend came to Japan legally, earned a PhD from Japan's top university, is married to a Japanese citizen, and publishes academic research in Japanese frequently. Still, they have get that work visa renewed every single year.

So, if you think a two year work visa is the same as being illegal, you're just plain wrong.
